Be on the lookout for “Warehouse CN” on those Kentucky Spirit single barrels. That’s a Camp Nelson bottle. They are great. Also give the Jim Beam 7 year a try. Excellent for $25.

J. Rieger & Co. is a local KC distillery which is why you were seeing it everywhere. And it's pronounced more like a long E than a long I. Think "eager" not "tiger".

That kings county empire rye barrel strength at 13:23 on store 2 is one of the best ryes I’ve ever had, well worth the $100 price tag. I’ve yet to try their bourbon but I’ve heard great things. Edit: looks like it’s not the barrel strength, I wouldn’t pay $100 for the non cask strength version. That’s a bit of a mark up. Or I guess maybe that’s the new price for the rye? I ended up paying $95 for the cask strength, that’s a bummer.

You will never get an allocated bottle at Gomers. They put all the allocated stuff back and hold it for their best customers. Which I kind of get. But by doing that, they push away the casual drinker, as we know we wont spend enough with them to ever get anything. But McDoodles, puts it all on the shelf as soon as they get it at MSRP. First come first served. So at least you have a chance there.

@@curtismansell5254 The majority of allocated stuff is well over $100...I'm not the type of guy who's going to buy anything over $100 99% of the time. Good to know about MacDoodles, I've actually never heard of them but will definitely check them out.
