I was offended that you compared Old Tub to my Wild Turkey 101, but then I tried them blind and had a difficult time choosing which I liked more, haha! In the end, I did choose Wild Turkey blind, but Old Tub actually out-spices WT101 and has a longer finish. But just had a bit more of that disinfectant cleaner note and bitter finish from being a tad younger. If you love WT101, you should like Old Tub. 19.99 in my area.

The bottle of toms foolery I had was a drain pour. In fact my wife dumped it down the drain. Could have been the bottle but for that kinda money I’ll stick with larger brands I know unless I can taste it before buying it. Watershed is something I’m looking at have seen some good reviews on it. Being from Ohio I like to support local businesses I know the western reserve rye was very good. You have some nice options down there here in the northeast most are stores are in grocery stores. Very limited rare stuff but the prices are good on most bottles. What allocations we get the price is varied. Certainly not like the secondary market for sure. Enjoy!!

If you can get Old Tub for under $25, it is definitely worth picking up. I think it’s solid. But at a similar price point, I prefer Old Grand Dad Bonded.

I would agree, it is decent, but Old Tub is not on par with Wild Turkey 101.

Old Tub is down to $21.99 here in Ohio. It used to be $24.99. At the new price, I think it’s a nice alternative to WT 101 or OGD bonded for less money, and also a nice alternative to Evan Williams BiB or 1783 for just a couple dollars more. Regardless, it’s worth a roll of the dice. You probably won’t be disappointed for your $22.

Right across the river in Wilder Kentucky AA liqour is selling Blantons for 200$ EH Taylor for 250$ and a Buffalo Trace for 150$ Kentucky really needs the state to step in and make the prices.

I would buy every Russel's Reserve single barrel for 65... they're only going up and Old Tub is okay, but WT101 for 18 beats everything in my area for that price. I would snag any Nashville Barrel pick that I saw and I wish I had a local coffee shop that had a 2oz pour of EHT for 10! Ohio seems to have it pretty good actually

42 year old Canadian whiskey is like 6 year old Kentucky bourbon. They just don’t get the hot/cold changes that moves the liquor in and out of the barrel. Keep producing entertaining content.

Actually was planning on doing a trip to Ohio in June...I guess it's good to know that the OHLQ website isn't accurate. Was really hoping to stumble on some of these Wellers everyone keeps talking about that I can't seem to find anywhere in South Carolina.

Trust me when I tell you, and what he said here... you WON'T find Weller on the shelf anywhere most days ... you have to know allocation and be in line for the most part. Good news is, over 150 Bourbons are commonly found at all stores and always priced well (and consistently)

Weller Reserve green label can pop up here and there. You may have some luck finding those inside Cincinnati area Kroger stores in their liquor department.

Stagg Jr being only 6-9 years the Augusta is an alternative for a more ages whiskey but the price tends to be pretty damn high. Seems like good bourbon but pricy.

The thing with Ohio is that its all the same basic stuff everyplace. Everyplace. All the time. Every store has the same basic stuff. If you want something neat you stand in line for hours. Sorry, you set out your lawn chair, and then go sleep in you car, and then stand in line for hours. The website does not separate out retail and wholesale inventory which means "in stock" does not really mean "in stock". Bars don't have to pick their orders up the same day that things show as "in stock" in the store inventory. Stores really love endless streams of people telling them "...but the state says you have Blanton's!!!". The state also suppresses the inventory info for the "good stuff" so people don't bother the stores. Except. Reddit. That's the short version of OHLQ!
