@@BondingOverBourbon man, I believe 1984 and literally was the first liquor store allowed in Evanston. Not sure how many exist now, aside from grocery stores. Always has been a great stop to find a bottle or two. Check out Toni’s liquors too, its just over the border in in Skokie, on the north end.

Man an EHT for a good price! I would have snagged that for a backup! I wish they sold the full Benchmark lineup in MA! That BT Kosher for only $70... not bad!

New subscriber. The new Rebel Small Batch Reserve is so good for $30. Supposed to be Heaven Hill distillate. Really like the Hard Truth Sweet Mash Bourbon offerings. 4 Grain BIB is my favorite. I picked up that new Overholt, but have not cracked it open yet. 🥃

I bought a bottle of Stauning SMOKE at the south loop Benny's and it's just not my jam. If you like scotch and Irish whiskey, it might be yours.

What didn't you like about it? We both love Irish whiskey, but Kat and I don't always agree about scotch.

@@BondingOverBourbon The whiskey itself is kind of like scotch with the smoke and single malt flavors. But there is a distinct honey cough drop flavor that is hard to get over.
