Thanks for watching! Green River is such good value right now. We haven't tried Penelope toasted yet, but wr see it a lot so I'm sure it will be around for a bit.

Woodmans was right up the street from that LIquor Barn. They have a great Liquor store.

I saw that Cask Strength Redbreast too! That Lucky Cat was kind of neat. I live in Minnesota though, I don't know where I'll be able to find that Lucky Cat. I kind of want to buy it for the novelty. I guess they don't call it the "beckoning cat" for nothing! 😁

@2:26 The mark up for Buffalo trace products in chicagoland is ridiculous. I was in texas a month ago. I got Buffalo trace around $30 after tax. I got 750ml Weller for $27 after tax. And I got the 1000ml bottle for $32 after tax. The Blanton's however was over priced in texas as well. At least where I was shopping. I brought 3 bottles in 3 different suitcases back with me. Wish I could have brought more. I didn't want TSA confiscating anything. It's so ridiculous out here. I think we all have to wait for it to normalize. Once it becomes more available. A few years down the line hopefully

We've been down to Austin and our jaws dropped at the availability and some of the pricing on the BT stuff. The tradeoff is that what we do get access to up here is much more diverse than down there. The prices always suck because of the flippers that ruin it for everyone.

@@BondingOverBourbon Don't forget taxes - State taxes alone in IL are more than 300% that of Texas. Texas is I think 5th lowest in the country. Add in county/city/munipality taxes in many areas, the mark up to make up for what is a couple bucks a 750, and you get a good portion of those differences...

I wasn't crazy about a Russell's Reserve single barrel I bought last year. It was just okay, I gave it to my brother since he likes Rye more than me and he really enjoyed it. I'm a big rare breed fan though.

That's a bummer! Maybe you had a bad barrel? The Rare Breed rye just never did it for us unfortunately. We prefer the 101 rye more because it's just solid for a budget bottle.

Dark Arts Rye was wonderful...a must try. Indiana distilled.

We've tried a few of their bottles since then, and they're pretty amazing. Got the meet the man that makes everything and he's a super solid dude.

That Cask Strength Redbreast for 90 is a a great price I also want a Midwinters Night Dram but 200 is to much.

That's our favorite Redbreast! We also can't justify buying MWND anymore with steady increase in price point. The value just isn't there anymore 😒

Right??? We've didn't even know that they get these. It's at the Highland Park location. They told us it was the last one, and that it was so good they blew through it quickly. We're excited to open it soon 😁
