This specific 'bad person' is thankfully dead and gone... But the city of New Orleans will still have to deal with the same incompetent leadership. Everyone knows by now that large outdoor public events create a prime target for an attack such as this and can only be prevented with extreme safety measures. Yet their police chief admits that they DID NOT USE ANY of the most effective tools her department has for pedestrian safety because SHE DID NOT EVEN KNOW they existed. With the FBI now finally informing the public that thousands of terrorists have likely crossed the southern border into our country over the last few years there is no longer any room for incompetence or corruption. And it's not unreasonable that so many people continue pointing these things out..

I'm still enraged that it happened. No one knew that this could happen. No one could sense premeditation. Are we so blasé about people leaving coolers unattended? We are just as guilty. We are so use to people vomiting, pissing and defecating on our streets, that "hey that man left a cooler, "la di dah"" was completely normal. Preventative measures can now be taken, everyone and everything will be SUSS. NOW why were the barricades not working? Where the hell was the MAYOR? If she had not been so damn busy taking city paid vacations. Were funds diverted for her life of leisure than to pay for the repairs and maintenance of the CITY? Seriously! We need to wake up and hold accountable the people we ELECT to take care of our city and state. They run for office with the lie that they are here for US but in reality, they are ONLY there for the PERKS. My question is who moved the cooler blocks away from where he left it. Where are those videos?? Somebody had to look to see if there was beer or something inside the cooler to steal. We are talking the French Quarters here. I worked on Conti and Buorbon for 6 years! Anything loose or left unattended gets ransacked or stolen. Something is not adding up.
