They both have killer guitar 🎸 skills, and wonderful vocals on top of it. A song by Keith Urban you all should check out (it's a slow one but beautiful) is "Blue Ain't your Color". I have always considered Keith a country artist, but he can be placed within many genre's (bluegrass, pop, southern rock). Spot on reaction!

This was awesome and so glad you finally reacted to it. Brad and Keith are best friends and spent a lot of time just jamming on their guitars, and generally have a good time. This song was just a good time and showcasing their guitar skills. And Brad Paisley could be a stand up comedian if he ever decided he didn't want to sing anymore, which God hopes he doesn't. When Paisley was 12, he caught the attention of the program director of a radio station in nearby Wheeling, who invited him to perform on Jamboree USA, the station’s long-running live country music program. For the next eight years he polished his act as a regular on the show. In 1991 Paisley enrolled at West Liberty State College in West Liberty, West Virginia; he later transferred to Belmont University in Nashville, where he earned (1995) a bachelor’s degree in music business.

I disagree. I'm an old school pure country fan, but I recognize that country music isn't the sound but the singer. I think that's why country has so much diversity in the sound. I keep waiting for you guys to get into some good stuff. That's an overstatement, perhaps, but a good 75% of the things you guys are reacting to are super fluffy, formulaic commercial songs they play on shitty modern mainstream radio for casual music fans who want easily digestible "music" with no substance. There are many legitimately incredible artists out there. I like your Tyler Childers, Chris Stapleton, Jamey Johnson, and Colter Wall videos (and a few older artists, too). I wish you would go down those roads more often. Here are a few suggestions: Sturgill Simpson "You Can Have the Crown / Some Days" (Live at Sun King Brewery), Cody Jinks "Mercy" (A new song he wrote to Nashville and the "country" music industry for blackballing artists with substantive music), Ward Davis "Good and Drunk" (The most three-chord-and-the-truth country song you'll ever hear), Josh Morningstar "Jerry Lee" (A song about crazy-ass Jerry Lee Lewis. Pure perfection), Jason Isbell "Elephant" (He's probably the greatest songwriter of this generation), John Moreland "You Don't Care Enough for Me to Cry" (The only songwriter that can challenge Isbell to that title). There are many more, but this is off the top of my head. I challenge you guys to pick any one of these at random. If your jaws don't hit the floor, then it's just not your cup of tea. However, if you're going on a country music/country adjacent journey, at least mix in some of these wildly popular independent/non-mainstream artists and songwriters and give them a chance. It's crazy how I can go see these guys in a packed 20K seat theater, but I can't ever find them on the radio. Sad, I know, but that's probably why you don't know about them. I know you guys are just beginning to go down this country rabbit hole, so I thought this may help. Anyway, it's just a thought.

Willie played center field short and always made those catches at the wall Keith (425 feet). The Giants were in NYC then and I watched the world series in 1954. I was six years old and was lucky enough to see Willie make the catch, and more importantly he spun around and threw the ball to second base to stop the leading run from scoring because he had to tag up. The arm is all important in your game Keith. Willie was second only to Babe Ruth on most records. Babe was a good pitcher when he played for the Red Sox. Another reason for a good arm. He could hold two hotdogs in each hand too. I stop watching and following baseball when they went on strike. Keith’s influence was full on traditional Country! He started playing at the age if 3, heavily inspired by Don Williams and Glen Campbell. Keith, unfortunately, let’s the music take him, instead of focusing on a genre. “The Fighter” is a more current album that was Co-Produced with legendary Niles Rogers so, yea, a different sound. Treat yourselves to “When Summer Comes Around” then sit back and watch him do his thing.
