The bones are metaphors for the relationship that just broke. She left him. "I went through the jewelry and found our wedding rings, I put mine on my finger, and I GAVE YOURS A FLING." "I'm resurrecting memories of our recent broken home/a love that's dead and gone."

Other great songs he wrote are "Forever and Ever Amen" and "On The Other Hand" by Randy Travis, "Love Can Build a Bridge" by the Judds, "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" by Kenny Chesney, and "When You Say Nothing At All" by Keith Whitley.

He has his own recording career, check out 'My Father in Me' and 'Daddy's Come around to Mama's way of thinking ' Randy Travis check out 'Deeper than the Holler,' and 'I told you so.' John Anderson ' straight tequila night,' and ' just a swinging'
