I made the same mistake of drinking Disco 12 after having RR15 and RR15 is so good it makes the fantastic Disco 12 seem just ok. I guarantee Disco 12 on it's own or after something that isn't just incredible good would score really well.

Disco 11 is phenomenal and reminds me of RR15. Makes sense though cuz it’s 73% a 13 year wild turkey product.

Disco 11 was a weird pour for me. I thought it was just very “ok” down to the last like 3 oz I had left. Those last 3 oz however was some of the best whiskey I’ve ever tasted. Guess I should’ve waited longer for it to open up.

Great picks, GTS 24 is a monster. I personally like the 13th Colony better than Russell's 15, but that's my pallet. I'm excited about the 4 roses because I've got that bottle, but haven't cracked it yet.

Is the Penelope Estate Collection 10 Year the high rye or low rye bottle?

Did a little research myself. The bottle shown in the video is 105 proof which would indicate it’s the High Rye 36%. The other 10 year recipe was bottled at 98 proof.

You guys need to include 1845 Distilling Co. into your list for 2025. They have 3 mashes of Bourbon and just released their first Whiskey. They got double gold medal in San Francisco on 2 of their Bourbons and were top 3. You’ll find them on Total Wine now. Extremely worth it!

Guys enjoy your stuff but I bought two bottles of Infinity Blend at $150 a pop based on your over-the-moon recommendation. Haven't opened one yet and to be honest I'm not really excited about it anymore. I understand things vary from blind to blind - bourbons have great days, and only good days - but how did things change so much? Is this the same bottle you tasted previously? Tough to get a read on your palates when there is little consistency. For me these videos aren't just entertainment, they actually inform expensive purchasing decisions. I wish I could sample everything before I buy it, but that just isn't reality for a regular guy. So I rely on the advice of others - particularly the experts like yourselves. Anyway happy 2025!
