To my palate, B13 hits a lot of the same notes as Elmer and honestly having a "barrel proof" elmer to me is pretty cool, because the weakness in Elmer is its proof. I personally love how mellow it drinks ethanol wise and the bigger strawberry shortbread thing I get from it. Very enjoyable!

Can't wait to crack this. Just scored one camping out for our drop week in Ohio. Got there at 1am for a 9am drop and was not first, but the other place... I wouldn't have gotten one probably. So I made the right gamble on my store. For now, I sleep. 1am in the car til 9am was not fun. After working a shift too.

I picked up one about a week and a half ago and I enjoyed it. It doesn't top batch 9 which is my favorite batch of the past few years, but I could see it doing well in a blind with 10 - 12. A single drop of water opened the palate up quite nicely as well. I think some air time will help too, so I'm going to let it sit and come back to it in a few weeks, but overall, a solid batch.

A Walmart in Jane, Missouri got a ER25. Very beautiful, but not for the 11k before tax (plus you had to be picked top 5 to even have a chance at it)!

Shockingly all over NC right now. I hunted batch 12 harder than almost any other bottle in summer 2023 and never got one. I’ve fallen into three of these in a week and the guy in front of me took the last one today so it was almost four.

I guess I just don’t understand or have a feel for bourbon distribution ….you say it was a late release…I’ve had my bottle of Barrel Proof EH since April…it is 127.3 proof, so no chance I bought a different batch. I paid 80 bucks for it and have enjoyed every sip!…CHEERS!

Got one of these. Remarkable how different it is from Stagg (the former Jr) which is the same age and mashbill but different warehouses. I agree much less fruity. It drinks a little proofy and the flavor is definitely concentrated. You absolutely do not want to drink something 100 proof or lower after this on the same day - will taste just watery. Much better than Batch Proof, I like better than Stagg (less bite and fruit, more classic bourbon flavors), but I think I would like GTS better...

The only EH Taylor I've ever seen in my area is one sitting in a rewards cabinet at a local liquor store. You have to spend ~$4000 with the store to have the points to actually buy it. Other than actual BT, anything BT or Sazerac is hard to come by. Videos of bourbon hunts in Arizona or the South East where they are pulling Eagle Rare and EHT right off a shelf for MSRP used to piss me off. Now they just make me disappointed. At the same time, it means I have more money for New Riff or Still Austin single barrels that are excellent.

MSRP $80??? Only RETAIL store that has it here is $399.. If the makers would put a stop to that the bourbon crisis would end.

That store is charging secondary prices. The suggested retail price from buffalo trace is like $77

It feels like people don't understand economics. The stores are able to charge above MSRP because the demand is greater than the supply. If you want to buy it at MSRP then you have to get people to stop buying the product so that the demand drops to meet the supply.
