24b opened up for me really nicely. It’s one of my favorite batches.

That’s interesting. I blinded 24B vs 24A, 22A and 22B and 24B won. I love the darkness on it. Black cherry caramel and oak. I love it.

I had a very different reaction to this batch. I get little ethanol and all grape/watermelon jolly rancher on the nose. Blinded against all 3 batches from 2023, this was the winner by a good margin (at least on that night). All the 2023’s had a youthful ethanol bite (classic sharpie note) that I just couldn’t pick up on in the 24B, but that can certainly be a preference for sure. Palates are interesting and whiskey is fun. Always enjoy hearing your opinions even, and especially when, they differ from my experience

I agree, the 24B is a gem, and better than the 23C & 24A. Good call, I did get a slight nose of watermelon jolly-this is sweet on the pallet with some butter cream brown sugar frosting in a pipe tobacco shop- this finish lingerrrrrrrs. Cheers brother!

Ngl i got two bottles of 24a when they came out a few months ago and essentially gifted one, and just finished my other and i really enjoyed it. Its def the best bottle out there for srp!

Never had a Stagg then I finally found the 24A and my 2nd 24A came as a trade pretty quickly after that. One day I hope to get the GTS daddy Stagg. Cheers 🥃

LOVE stagg jr. it constantly blinds against my other 60 bottles and wins everytime. i will say, with mine, when i initially opened it, it had so much ethanol and dried my mouth out so much i was wondering if i was allergic to it. then i saw a video where someone else said it did the same, and needed to open up. i mixed a bit with it, and didnt have the issue, and then when it was roughly 1/4 of the way down and had been open for like 6-8 months, that completely went away, and now it's definitely one of my favorites, if not THE favorite. i agree that you should revisit in a few months, i wonder if it'll get better (i think it will)

The ethanol does go away as air gets into the bottle. I have 2 of them. $60

He had my 24B open for a month or two now and the ethanol goes WAY down. Almost read like a marker to me at first, but thankfully it gave way to vanilla and cherry. Still hot, but not unmanageable by any means.

I have only ever had 1 Stagg (jr) and that was 22C and I really enjoy. I would definitely buy any Stagg I see around msrp. Cheers

Hope to find one of the batches for this year. Haven't had any luck with the 24's. I went to a drop this year and ended up with a couple from last year, but that's ok. They were good bottles. For 60 dollars, in my opinion, there isn't anything that beats Stagg. At $65 JD SBBP Rye comes in a close 2nd. Cheers 🎉🎉🎉

I was fortunately enough to pick up both 24A/B at SRP in back to back weeks. Haven't cracked them yet. But haven't had a bad Stagg. Either good or great.

Jury is still out on 24B for me. Definitely not as good as 24A off the bat, but I will give it a few months and go back to it - may work wonders for it…
