Interesting walkabout in Aldi, looking at Bovaer free options. The dairy code NU 007 is Dairy Crest and they are owned by Saputo (who also own Cathedral City) their Bovaer statement is in my community page, link here...
• Post
give it a read, and make your own mind up - for me, it feels a bit dubious because the whole 'its safe' blah blah is a red flag. I don't buy cathedral city so it doesn't impact me - I prefer Wyke Farm cheese.
New in the store is the Jersey Milk which is a lookalike bottle to the Grahams bottle and is actually supplied by Grahams milk - all Bovaer free.
Hope it helps,
Thanks for watching, see you on the next one

@@manicminer8813 why? It remains a theoretical risk. Whereas this channel was upset about Coke Cola Contamination this week and yet the health dangers of consuming artificial sweeteners is proven and not merely theoretical. It is those products that need skull and crossbones on them to stop parents force feeding it to their children.

@Debbie-henri 9 күн бұрын
@@simonwatts929Unfortunately, there are a lot of food additives like that. Miniscule quantities can be added to large volumes of ultra processed food, and they are 'edible' (not good for you, as ultra processed foods go, I know, but still edible as far as manufacturers are concerned). Accidents can and have happened, however, with excessive quantities being accidentally added to foods (and even water), causing misery for consumers. And that's the problem with any chemical put to use on a farm. There's always the opportunity for human error, or insufficient testing of product, and this simply isn't good enough anywhere along the food chain - neither for the farmers, the customers, nor the animals involved. It's a sad fact that politicians create the rules, but are completely incapable of taking on such a responsibility, because they simply don't have any training in the necessary areas to make such sweeping decisions, but have the egos to think they have all the answers. Basically, what we have are economists and historians being fed tidbits of information by unscrupulous chemical companies - and believing them. Look at the food put on offer at supermarkets these days. It's been calculated that 73% of food in American supermarkets is ultra processed (the UK won't be far behind that percentage) - this created from various industrial slurries and chemicals, and have now been considered as 'pre-digested' (isn't that a horrible term? But it's true. Once you break down food into molecular form, as these industrial methods do, the result is the sort of substance a mother bird puts down her chick's throat). The helpful thing is, the term 'pre-digested' is so abhorrent to our sensitive natures, that you are far less likely to say 'Just this once...' before you put that pack of pre-digested biscuits in your trolley.

As for butter and cheese forget it very little choice, I might be able to do better online but I am only one of me and so done have a big enough shop for weekly stuff. We live in the Isle of Wight and my first question at every coffee shop is 'Do you have full fat milk?' They just give you a list of options which include Oat Soy Almond etc before informing you that they have 'Semi-Skimmed' cows milk. Even when travelling on the ferry to this beautiful Island, Wightkink only have a semi skimmed option despite being a champion for local produce and they refuse to take cash! This AWESOME lady does so much scouting for us. How luck we all are to have her. Her dedication is appreciated. I have a question to anyone in the know. Does Bovaer coding cover meat as well since it's the same cattle eating this imposed rubbish that nobody wants. If it's in the milk it will be in the meat as well.

It's crazy because bovaer was classed as a drug in the US because it alters the inside of an animal (& so couldn't be used) until about May 2024, then they declassified it so it could be used despite the fact that it still alters the insides of a cow. Money talks eh and gets through restrictive hoops oh like safety and such.

@GWAYGWAY1 well if you davoid Bovaer milk made some comapny/ brands /. farms then you should avoid the cheese made by the same company /brand ./ farm.... Also avoid all od the dairy products made by Bel Group .... does not matter if it is milk, yogurt, cheese..... They implement Bovaer and they are openly proud of it.... You can find their dairy products eg Babybell cheese, The Laughing Cow cheese, Semi-Soft French Cheese Wedge , Port Salut Traditional French Cheese Slices, in Tesco Asda Saisbury’s Morrisons Ocado Waitrose and all of their products are covered by Bell Group as well as brand NURISHH - all of their dairy products are not made from real milk and cheese but their products are artificial plant-based. Nothing is real in their products although they say their dairy products are good for vegetarians and are artificial colour free ....., Can you imagine eating cheese made from plants? their products are eg. Gran Vegiano plant-based grated , Cheddar Flavour Slices plant based slices, Emmental Flavour Slices plant based , Mozzarella Flavour Slices plant based , Greek Style Cubes plant-based, Cheddar & Mozzarella Flavour Grated plant-based , Emmental Flavour Grated plant-based , Mozzarella Flavour Grated plant-based , PLANT-BASED ALTERNATIVE to CAMEMBERT , Garlic & Herbs Spread plant-based cheese, Plain Spread plant-based cheese

@Charliesmomiji you can get Graham's Organic milk in Asda but don't get confused as they sell 1L bottle for £1,10 and 2 L bottle for £2,15 of Graham's Organic whole milk - the label is green very similar to Graham's semi-skimmed milk as well as you can get 1 L different type of bottle (blue label)of Graham's Organic whole milk with cream at the top for £1,10 a 1 L of Graham's Organic whole milk Unhomogenised in different type of bottle (gold brown label) too . This unhomogenised one is with cream at the top for £1.40 it is really delish healthier and It really worth it. Btw is there any farmer in Berwick or arround who sell Bovaer free millk? I haven't heard about any..... :-( Btw you can get Graham's double cream in Asda too
