The Gard talk is underrated. The guy rebuilt the team last year into a 5 seed and did the same this year (seed TBD) after losing a huge % of production. Not only has he allowed a faster pace, but you have to have no doubt he can develop given the improvement of guys like McGee and Gilmore. "Development" is always a tough thing to gauge, since not everyone can be developed further, but if some were willing to say he couldn't develop in the past due to lack of improvement of someone, then they gotta admit he can develop now. Hopefully no key injuries derail the team.

This is year 10 of the Gard experiment. We should never be rebuilding. You're just saying he's correcting his failures.

Recruiting 2 decent QBs unless you’re one of the blue bloods feels unrealistic in today’s landscape in my opinion. I think recruiting 1 and get a transfer from a smaller school QB with eligibility who wants to move to a bigger program is more likely.

Well blue blood programs can only have so many 5 star QB’s…and if those kids want to play, they’ll go to schools that still hv D1 prestigious history. It’ll be up to the staff to go all in on those players

Hey Ryan. If you could look at the 2026 qb offer too out of San Juan Capistrano Catholic High and give thoughts (be positive). He’s a 3 star going into 4 by time he graduates. I heard about him because he’s my son’s boss’s boss (CEO) neighbor’s kid and his dad mentioned to him (son’s boss’s boss) that he was really impressed with his unofficial visit to UW and Madison. I thought his Junior highlights looked good.

I hate this idea this teams “do the athlete dirty“ by pulling a scholarship when a new coordinator and position coach arrive. Athletes do it all the time when they de-commit because “God told me to take my talents to (insert school).” I applaud the staff for doing this early to allow the kid as much time this winter, spring and summer to find a new home.

which QB has a higher Football IQ: Bowe or Mock???? that may have something to do with the move away from Mock.
@davidp68392 күн бұрын
Longo seemed to like the "high IQ" guys, so I doubt it. I think they should've just taken both, but maybe they'll replace with a second guy they like better. Edit: obv they have neither, just meant take commits from both if possible. Whatever though, pretty early.
@greglincicum96712 күн бұрын
Why offer such a high prospect? We may not get him, but you always miss the shots that you don't take. Think back when the Packers got Reggie White. No one wanted to come to GB. Everything changed after that. I hope we just get the right fits to have success. Time will tell.
@JMFBizzle2 күн бұрын
I think it's not a great move. We don't have another QB that's committed. If this Bentley guy doesn't commit, we now will be sticking our hands in the cookie jar to see what QB comes out. At least wait for this Bentley kid to commit. You never know though, this Bentley kid may have said I want to be the only QB in the class. WIS has gone to the portal 3yrs in a row for a QB. With C.Smith(FR) O'Brien(SO), & Milos(RSFR) in the room, I might be a little sus if I were him too.
