I am a B&W head. My towers, center channel, and book shelves are all B&Ws. I did buy the Pi7 version 1. And all though the sound was great, I had connection issues ,talking on the phone went into noise cancelation at all times, they constantly wouldn't pair. I still have them, and they haven't worked after 1 year. Light stays on red and won't go into pairing mode. Writing all this before I watch the video. Hope they don't disappoint this time around. What up Floss 💪🏾

I love that you say pay to play cause a flagship tablet and a budget tablet is world's apart so you get what you pay for. I've come to appreciate quality earbuds I learnt my lesson commuting to work wearing budget ones with no anc, they work fine but believe me in public transportation quality anc is a must.

so i ordered these, as Floss is usually spot on with earbuds and i fancied trying the case transmitting aptx as its not on iphone natively. I have the Momentum TW4 on Flossys recommendation, and for the first time i disagree with him putting the Pi8 above the TW4s. For a start, i found the Pi8 to lack in the bass department compared to the TW4, which have a deeper bass, more depth in the sub-bass region which makes sense as the specs say they go down to 5hz. You can really tell on some tracks. I did EQ them to the V-shape with max bass too, and my TW4s are on the personal sound profile i have. The Pi8 i will say are louder, couldnt play them much past 50% whereas i use TW4 on around 70. Yes the Pi8 case can transmit aptx at 24 bit and 96khz, which is hi-res and a real benefit if you have an iphone or galaxy which wont do that natively, however i bought a $30 sennheiser BTD600 dongle, which connects to the iphone by USB-C, and transmits hi-res the same as the Pi8 case, and i can use my TW4s. So i returned my Pi8s, im sticking with my Momentum tw4 as they have better bass, longer battery life (30 hrs vs 20) and a better app. Sorry for long post, thought it might help someone to decide between Flossys top 2

Excellent review. Bowers & Wilkins Pi 8 headphones arrived today. The sound is perfect!! I compared it with Denon Perl Pro and Hifiman Svanar Wireless, and I can say that Bowers & Wilkins play much better... Especially in terms of treble and bass, they are much more detailed and have more space. The best headphones I've ever listened to. I recommend them for better listening foam extensions.

New Bowers&Wilkins? I knew from the title I was in for a treat. Remembering how loud praises were to Pi7's these we destined to up the bar. I'm gonna be honest. Speaking as a peasant. I have about 4 or 5 sets of earbuds and over the head ear buds/phones 1. Bose QC 35 OtE 2. ANC Status Between 3 ear buds 3. Non noise cancelling ear buds ANC Ststus 3. For the record, changing out the tips from the stock, which have foam inside them, changed the sound to be crispier and the transparency was excellent!!! Great view my dude!! Keep doing what you do!

Floss is right about all these companies that sell multiple products. Theirs a phrase I heard a while back “jack of all trades, master of none.” Companies like Apple are so busy trying to work on phones, tablets, earbuds, etc that they can’t take the time to really master any of these products especially their earbuds. Meanwhile companies like this who only focus on one product, are mastering it. That is why these buds cost more than Apples earbuds and Samsungs earbuds. You get what you pay for. If you want to play, you have to pay.

WOW! I have the Bose and Sony and love them because of their noise cancellation qualities. Airpod pros come in 3rd with Comply foam tips. I had to take the new Galaxy Buds 3 pro back because the noise cancellation was too weak for me. Great to see these are another great option!

This may be of benefit to some, I've had these for a week and they do sound great, very detailed and notably very comfortable and stable (I've compared to the Momentum 4 and Denon - these sound better, more detailed, especially in the mids, with a little less bass impact). I personally can't agree with Floss though on the strength of the ANC, they're okay, but nowhere near Bose. I also had a bug whereby after the first few days i felt that ANC was especially bad on right earbud, thought it was fit till i realised that for some reason pass-through was active on just one earbud. Factory reset fixed it.

I was very tempted to get these but the Momentum TW4 price was to good pass up. I was able to get a pair for $208. Maybe I’ll upgrade when the Bowers go on sale in the future. Thanks for the review and time you put into your videos.

I see people mentioning the price in these but you get what you pay for. Also if you wait a month or 2 and follow the item, a sale will end up dropping somewhere. I could see these going on sale and being 300-350 which is a good price cut. So if you really want them and don't want to spend, then just wait. As far as prices go I would love to see Flossy do a video for the best budget earbuds/headphones. Perhaps Under $100, $200 and $300 tiers

Hey bro, on your recommendation I ordered and have tried them out. I have been using the B&O EX since release. 1: Pi8 - definitely louder! Wow 2: EX - has a deeper bass even with the eq set to 6 on the Pi8’s I am going to spend a bit more time. I haven’t tried the direct connect to get the true Dolby Atmos Lossless sound yet
