It was a joy watching your reaction to this movie. Bowfinger is up there with Black Dynamite and Uncle Buck as comedies I can enjoy again and again. Frank Oz should receive way more recognition as a director.

One of the funniest movies ever. I saw this movie when it first came out and completely forgot about it. Rediscovered it a month ago and it is hilarious. Great reaction!

Great reaction, I always like the payoff at the end. All along the audience see's the movie idea as stupid, but to them that took part in making it, and seeing themselves on the big screen is sweet. And the Mexicans became skilled, so it wasn't like he was taking advantage of them. They all came to a close knit group.

Yeah the movie is ridiculous but it was really nice seeing how happy everyone was seeing themselves up on the screen.

Bowfinger is really underrated. I think it's not as well known because it debuted at the box office within a week of The Sixth Sense (which was the only higher-grossing movie above Bowfinger in its opening weekend), and the fact that it didn't do as well overseas compared to the United States. Probably more so the former.

I just don't understand how a movie with Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin didn't do well ya know no matter the circumstances any movie with those two should do great lol
@cynthiaschapansky2008Ай бұрын
I watched this movie awhile back and I was thinking about it at work because I was thinking about Eddie Murphy saying that keep it together, kit. Lol😂 he thinks he's losing his mind and he says this mantra to keep from losing it. That's exactly how I felt at work hahaha

This is kind of a 'love letter' to all those low budget film makers like Ed wood, from the 1950s-1960s, that we would watch at drive-in movie theaters, and tv shows like MST3K make fun of.

Yes absolutely underrated for everyone involved this should have been a highlight in both their careers but this movie just didn't hit when it came out and fell through the cracks of some other roles they did at this time, I consider this in the top 5 go both careers but just underrated

Its a brilliant comedy that was quite well reviewed at the time, but not widely ly advertised and Martin and Murphy were largely seen as past their best by the general public...the general public missed out big time,.one of the Great 90s comedies

Yeah I'd say neither of them are past their prime even today!

There are about 6-7 of them, but not all of those are watchable (bad reactors). It just goes to show how bad the Reactor fad is.
@bighuge106019 күн бұрын
@@tempsitch5632 Very true. A lot of Reactors use the movies to showcase themselves by quipping and mugging throughout a film. Most of us watch reaction videos to vicariously relive our own experience watching a film for the first time. Alcyone provides that experience. It was also great seeing how much he enjoyed this movie.

Directed by Frank Oz (director/actor/voice of Yoda, Miss Piggy etc./appears in most John Landis films, like Trading Places/Blues Brothers.) Also a comedy must-see by Frank Oz - Dirty Rotten Scoundrels starring Steve Martin/Michael Caine. Other Steve Martin must-sees: Parenthood L.A. Story The first restaurant he went to to run into RDJ is the place my big celebrity friend took me to when I first moved to los angeles, to show me an iconic $ LA spot, way back when. Cannot remember what I ate. I met Jamie Kennedy when I managed Tower Video on Sunset and he was super nice. We made fun of each other for wearing hats late at night, to hide bad hair. Wish I’d met Heather Graham. The Mindhead building is the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood and my first time staying in Los Anegels was a hotel room looking at that building, and I always wondered what it was and why so weird compared to everything else in the area.
