So nice to see someone seeing this truly blind. I recommend Gremlins 2. It’s amazing

I love Gremlins and Gremlins 2 ,it was so different from what films had come before. Billed as a black comedy which is what it is and the PG-13 rating was introduced for this film. I think Gizmo would have turned bad if he ate after midnight but because he was a nice, sensible mogwai he refused to eat after midnight when Billy offered him the chicken drumstick as he did not want to turn . Gremlins 2 is worth a watch it has a more satirical tone and parodies the original. Unfortunately it bombed at the box office even though the critics liked it but has since become a cult classic like this one. It is know as a Christmas movie but works for halloween as well. I love your reactions you really invest in the story and magic of movies .

Thanks so much and thanks for subscribing. I didn't even think about the fact that gizmo passed up on the food knowing it's past midnight. That makes him even better!

Gizmo is the only good Mogwai. He even turned down the food that Billy offered him. He is adorable and well behaved. Let’s hope he never turns. 😉 Also, please react to the sequel. It’s very self aware and hilarious.

"Now I have another reason to hate Christmas." "What are you talking about?" "The worst thing that ever happened to me was on Christmas. Oh, God. It was so horrible. [✂] And that's how I found out there was no Santa Claus." Sweet Christ! 😳 Fun Fact: This movie and Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom (1984) are credited with inspiring the MPAA to create the PG-13 rating. Many felt the movies were too violent for a PG rating, but not violent enough for an R. Practical Security Fact: Zach Galligan recounted in an interview that when the movie was made, there was no CGI, so all of the Gremlins were animatronics, each costing between $30-40,000. When everyone left the lot for the day, security would have everyone open the trunks of their cars to make sure they weren't stolen. Christmas Nightmare Fact: The "Santa Speech" proved to be controversial and studio executives insisted upon its removal because they felt it was too ambiguous as to whether it was supposed to be funny or sad. Director Joe Dante however stubbornly refused to take the scene out saying it represented this movie as a whole, which had a combination of horrific and comedic elements. Executive producer Steven Spielberg did not like the scene, but despite his creative control, he viewed this movie as Dante's project and allowed him to leave it in. Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990) would later hilariously lampoon this speech, which I highly recommend.

Oh, people died. Lots of people died. As a results of "accidents", explosions, etc. blamed on mass hysteria. Great reaction!

I see that you have not seen any of the Police Academy movies, let alone Spaceballs or Lava Lantula, because those movies have 1 character in common with Gremlins - the voice artist /actor Michael Winslow, aka the Man with 10,000 voices. In Gremlins, he does the voice of Stripe, the evil leader of the Gremlins. If you get a chance, put the Police Academy movies on a list to watch, but before watching Spaceballs, watch Alien and the Star Wars movies beforehand.
