The tilapia came in at 19.5 inches, just two inches below the state record. Almost! Happy holidays, everyone.

Great vid! I just hope you know once you fall into those basins getting out would be extremely difficult. If not impossible. All ladders have been removed. Maybe climb a tank gate and shimmy up the greasy stem?Let someone know if you go fish in spots like this otherwise you might eventually be fish food.

here in Guanajuato, MX, where I live, there's tilapia everywhere. Huge ones too. Yes, they are very subtle. sometimes they are near surface and they can see bait in front of them and totally ignore it. The way I beat them in that mode is with tenkara style.
@wildlifefishingshow2 жыл бұрын
What's tenkara style look like?
@jorgen.zamora2 жыл бұрын
@@wildlifefishingshow hello! I'm glad you replied! I love your videos, specially the ones combining abandoned places and fishing! Tenkara is the japanese version of fly fishing. but I use weightless bait. Gulp alive, live worms, corn, even tortilla dough. you should try that on your videos. some tenkara rods can take good sized carp! I will look for you on IG and send you pictures. do you have instagram? :)

I imagine that big Tilapia was a big boy being a Cichlid. I thought it was a 20 ;( I'm a non-Mammal eater but bowfishing for Invasives like those, Grass carp or Pleco despite being alive were introduced by us so we need to rectify it. I will eat fresh Tilapia as nuts and beans cause my brain to want more. I'm not eating Insects yet.... crickets and grasshoppers are utilized now and a lot in the distant past.

Man, if you are recovering from a back injury, I do not think going fishing for alligator gar in a few days is a good idea. Those back injuries, sometimes you will feel better but it hasn't completely healed up yet and you can make it even worse. One strong run from a big fish, and it could throw your back out and seriously hurt you.
