Yeah mate, this was all the same trip just a week at this spot. Next week and the week after will have you gobsmacked! Was the best week of my life after flying back from NZ just lucked into this property. Actually just been invited back so keen to see if I can’t get a red on the ground finally!

Yeah man! Was a good one. went for a walk the next day and hit the gold hard! Then on dark somehow found a big old white fella in the grass 200m from camp! Got to 6m and whacked him. Can’t wait to share that in a few weeks. Happy new to you too! Appreciate all your comments- hope ya get amongst it this year. I got my bow restrung still havnt sighted it hahahaha #lazy

@@FollowingABrokenCompass this fall was real slow on the whitetail hunts. Too many coyotes took a lot of fawns apparently as even the doe count was way down like more than 50% of body counts on the cameras. Hunted hard ( bow only) from October 2 thru December 10. We had three nice 10 pointers from like 145” to one was probably 165-170 . Never saw them from several ladder stands we have scattered in the daylight. So. I ended up taking a nice 8 pointer. My son took another 8 pointer day after our Thanksgiving here. We have about 2 sections of mostly mesquite with some pasture ( about 1300 acres) . We have another place where we bow hunt pigs about 25 miles away. It’s not spot/ stalk only 45 acres of good drainage area where there trees grass etc. we use corn feeders there and more ladder stands. We haven’t been there a lot as were deer hunting . The boys have taken only 4 pigs in three different hunts there. Evening hunts only. Kinda a slow year all in all. I’m 73 years old and don’t get after it like my son and his friend does. But, I still love getting up and being in my spot before daylight especially if it’s not miserable cold. 👍👍👀

Crazy about the coyotes! Yeah it seems to be very different style of hunting, I have never done it that way before. Out there having a crack at that age is amazing mate! Inspirational- stoked your still getting out there, it’s defiantly great for the brain!
