Moved to Nebraska in 2011, been learning how to hunt mule deer ever since, it's been a blast. Shot a couple nice ones, missed a giant. It's a lot of fun and challenging.

The Freak videos are well edited and professional quality, but I love the actual reality base they have. So many hunting shows make it seem like every time out offers trophy encounters and trophy kills. Reality says that a hunting trip can be full of daylight to dark days of walking your butt off and nothing to show for it but the experience. The experience, though, is still a blast when you love this sport!

Dude.… you’re taking way too many irresponsible shots… sorry not sorry
@matthewjewell72163 жыл бұрын
You guys need to stop making 70 yard shots. You may be able to hit 4 inch circles at that distance, but you cant take into account the animal movements at that distance. Especially when its just looking at you. I also feel like you draw blood, your hunt is over. That allows you the time to ask yourself, should I take this shot. I hear guys like the meateater crew dogging archery for wounding deer and always wondered why. Watching guys like this makes sense. Throwing arrows whenever you're within 100 yards.
@MuleyFreak3 жыл бұрын
First and foremost, that's the individual hunter's call on whether he decides to continue the hunt or not. In this case, Aaron made the determination the buck would live and he was right. If you watch through until the end you'll see a rifle hunter harvested the buck at a later date. As far as the MeatEater Crew goes...I don't really care what they say about bow hunters. We are all entitled to our own opinions. Let's just leave that at that.
@aaronvanwoerkom64013 жыл бұрын
Ditto on what has already been said to you. Additionally, I recall the "MeatEater" crew wounding a bull at 100 yards with a muzzleloader... it's hunting, it happens. I was extremely confident at 70 yards when I left for the hunt - and when I took that shot, unfortunately I didn't capitalize.
