Bowie Bowie? Chatty chatty!

I have the camera on selfie mode so Bowie naturally talks more to get my attention. And plus when it's dusk, birds are more vocal - the roosting behaviour.
One thing he does say in context is "wanna go to bed"....which to hm means he wants to go 'somewhere'

We love how cute and squeeky Bowie's voice is. sweet Ringneck boy, aww! and I think the thing he says between "hi! how are you doing?" at the beginning is maybe "happy birthday!" or "happy birthday boy!" ??? Totally what it sounds like to me, haha. He is so handsome, I can't take the cuteness overload!

I think he's very understandable. When he first asked, what're you doing?, he repeated it, and again he said "what're you doing? Hmm? I know "he picks up" words, but in this case he added a question word, (hmm?) and put them together correctly, as we do. I have observed this quite a few times in a few Parrots, and Cockatoo's . I love Bowie, thank you for sharing him, and his fun chatting with us.

It's good to see you Bowie & Mama! My IRN (Kiwi) doesn't care much for blueberries. He LOVES pomegranates but they aren't in season yet around here. Major bummer! Kiwi won't typically say words unless he's covered up &/or alone. That's been ever since I got him when he was just about 2 years old and just starting to get his ring. I've tried for almost 3 years now to teach him to say new words but no go. Stubborn bird he is! But I love & adore him just the same!

Peekaboo Parrots I started putting up little videos of Bodhi's daily jabbering recently on here. I'm thinking he needs his own account eventually like Bowie has. Bodhi is getting noticed more without me even planning it. I just uploaded a few of his usual sayings on my personal page and said they could be viewed publicly. People are really enamored with these wonderful birds-I know I am. 😍 Your parrotlet Koolaid actually got my parrotlet watching in the beginning about 4 years ago. Then I saw Bowie in one of the Koolaid videos, and got my Bodhi shortly after seeing how fun they can really be. My parrotlet then taught Bodhi about talking and KZbin. Now I have a 3 year old Bodhi who runs his own iPad mini occasionally, and watches your videos at least once everytime with his Kakariki sidekick. He loves his Bowie, and asks for him by name. I'm sure we will be lifelong fans! 💜🐥
