I never, ever thought I would fall in love with a bird. I feel emotionally attached to Bowie now. I can't get enough of him. He bows his head and apologizes when you scold him. Then he gives the phone a gentle kiss. He says he's going home, then he laughs. He looks at his reflection, and says "Smile". And he purrs when you pet him. What's not to love about Bowie?

Thank you for posting these videos. I must tell you that my Indian Ringneck, Silver is in LOVE with Bowie!! He watches the videos everyday and throws a fit when it’s time to shut them off. God, he is so beautiful! I had a blue Budgerigar for 7 years, and when he died my whole family almost die for him from crying, then we said we cant have another one, its too much pain watching him dying and u know u cant help him. My cockatiel died after us having him for 25 years, and a couple years later, my lovebird died suddenly (old age) after having him for 8 years. It's so, so hard to lose them. But there are so many other birds out there who need homes, so we have applied to adopt two more birds. Always think adoption first! It's tedious, but I think it's the right thing to do.

I think you should get another, or a cockatiel, because as Anne says below, they live a long time, Nobody wants to lose a friend but you do lose them anyway, human or animal, so it's better to have them while you can, don't you think?
