A really neat thing about SSF2 is that every character feels fun to play as, to some extent. I'm a casual player who mains random and spends most of my time playing against the CPU, trying to learn how to combo, and I win with every character 99% of the time, and have fun doing it without advanced tech. So, every character is high-tier in terms of fun for me personally. Except when I'm against a Wario CPU. Then nobody gets to have any fun.

I couldn't agree more with you! I am also a casual player and have fun playing against the CPU. I have never really cared about advanced techs or frame data and such. The only thing which can be considered advanced when I play is the spikes I go for. But that's about it. I play with every character and I think everyone is very fun. And about fighting the Wario CPU... I am glad I am not the only one who thinks that the battles against Wario are more infuriating rather than fun.

As a loyal Tails main, I can so with confidence that his pressure game has really plummeted since then. Before, he was really able to keep his opponent with the tools he had. Now? He's practically a joke. I feel like his tech doesn't really give him any leg ups, since they're usually all getaway tools. I must also say that his fall speed really doesn't align with his weight (he's light, yet falls like a brick) so that REALLY makes it hard for him to recover. There's just so many other things that hinder him from being good.

I have little knowledge of the competitive scene, I'm a basic casual player, heck, I'm a Sandbag main, but I wanna give my two cents here. Any character, those who are bad, like Melee Kirby, and those who are extremely good, like Brawl Meta Knight, can be used in interesting ways, even to the point where their competitive viability is brought to question. So in my eyes, even a terrible character can be good as long as the player using them knows how to use them in the best way. Yes, even Melee Kirby could be good, and Brawl Meta Knight could be awful. That's just my thoughts though.

While I don't know who actually is the worst character, I did consider "maining" Ganondorf and Jigglypuff at different points during this update. Though I dropped Ganondorf mainly because of his speed, and I dropped puff not because she was bad or anything my eyes just started to wonder off to different characters. Currently am on the Bowser train but I will see where that one goes. Also was for a short time on the Peach and Yoshi train. Funilly enough I am usually someone who picks up top tiers by accident in this game. Zelda in 0.9B (my favorite character ever) and Samus during one update she was broken in iirc. I wonder if I land on a top tier again this time.

I believe Goku can be better if he get some buff. Like for example, he could teleport when you charge a kamahamaha(like once or twice to trick your opponents.). Or at least try to speed up some attacks. Maybe try to put back that down smash from the previous versions. That one was really good until they replace it with energy balls instead. But that's just my opinion. I would love him to be back up there again with naruto.

The most fun character in the game for me without equal, and a couple of other Goku players share my sentiment. However, I also know that his sprites are absolute dogshit, and his moves are incredibly lame in comparison to what his moveset could be. However, I just don't believe in them making a new moveset that'll be just as fun as this, I'm scared of losing the current goku for something completely different, I absolutely agree with a resprite however. He's 100% a midtier btw, there's no way I play this game competitively since .9b only for my best character to be bottom 5, a lot of the competitive side is gradually turning favorably towards goku after a bunch of players including me picked him up and actually started working on him.

I honestly think Isaac is the worst. I think he has some of the best combo’s out there cuz his moves are actually really good. He just doesn’t have any reliable kill moves other then up-air from what I found. Maybe I’m wrong I don’t play the game super often. I’m at that skill level where you could easily body anyone around you but once you step into the competitive scene I’m the one getting bodied. But I’d love to hear what Isaac mains have to say about this because he’s one of my favorites. Tho I’ll always be a puff main :)

I would have put down Rayman. He was nerfed heavily. My brother used to beat me a lot with Rayman. Dair killing at 0, Fair and Bair being huge spacing moves with great killpower, A really good down throw, Big Nair. But it was taken away and my brother never plays him anymore. Rayman has a hard time killing even with the plum and the fact that some of his moves hitbox was decreased hurt him so much. He became one of the hardest characters to beat into the easiest.

Okay now the problem with Goku being the weakest character in the game coming from a Goku Main is that Kaio-Ken literally builds your damage up while you fight, yes your stronger but your at risk in getting KO'd early cause of it.

It doesn't matter which character is the weakest Ssf2 is one of the most balanced fighting games I ever played If a pro player use a weak character against a medium to bad player with a strong character he will be able to win easily. (Not as easy as using a good character but good enough) For example: I usually use black mage(yep he's my main) who is considered one of the worst characters but my brother can't even get me to 100% damage in a 3 stock fight and he use Zelda ( who is considered to be the strongest character in the game for some reason).

I haven't played since ryu and them were added (Mainly because my computer broke) so I don't know all that much. I guess the weakest character when I play the characters is Lloyd
