Bowling pro shop walkthrough

Don't be afraid to go into your local bowling pro shop. They should have everything you will need for a great bowling experience. Most pro shops carry balls, bags, towels, tape, and other misc items you may need. Always check with your local pro shop before trying to order products online. We also recommend purchasing products specifically designed for bowling ball maintenance - avoid homemade products found on websites and social media.

Completely agree with talking to the pros in the shop - finally went in earlier this year and it was a great experience.

A few manufacturers make 4-ball bags. They are often referred to as a 2+2 because they'll have a 2-ball base with a removable 2-ball top section.

Cannot imagine carrying 4, 60 pounds is a lot to carry.

@@baldwinbonney That's why the bag separates into two double-ball pieces - to make loading and unloading much easier. Then I just have to roll 4 at a time.

I live in Winston Salem NC and have been to 5 pro shops in the past week and a half. None of them even come close to how nice and stocked this shop is. Not to mention the hours of every pro shop I went to were awful. It's like they make up their own hours. At this point I'm just guessing at what ball and shoes I need with minimal help. I am a female who is VERY interested in the game and joining a league.

Although we don't specifically endorse any pro shops, a quick search on google maps indicates there are several well reviewed options in your area. Pro shop hours are limited to evenings in most cases. Finally, speak with bowling managers or pro shop managers for information on leagues. They usually run 16 weeks starting in October and January. If you find a good one, let us know.
