Tue Lindebjerg If it would be so easy why isn't Dabuz winning anything if Leo Zero or such are at the same tournament? I'm a Ryu and Rosa Main and I can tell you that you need to work a lot more with Rosa than Ryu to get a kill. And they both are very technical. Maybe if you're a casual which I doubt you might lose to a Rosa that just presses the hell out of up-air and jab, but trust me against good opponents you need a lot, sometimes the jank comes in and kills you at 10 which is not ok, but jank happens to everyone, Luigi mains get like ten misfires per match against me for some reason

The Soul of Silver yep, but cloud does 3 smash attacks worth of damage in his smash attacks, has a huge hitbox on his up air and is deadly fast. his only weakness being his recovery, which even then is very hard to punish without getting annihilated by him instead of as well, completely game breaking

My problem with the top tiers in the game is that they are too easy to use. Rosalina, Bayonetta, Cloud, And to some extent, Diddy Kong. Are all really easy to play, there’s literally no skill required for Rosa, Bayo and Cloud in particular. Top tiers in Melee are all hard to play at a top level (besides Sheik) Smash 4 is the complete opposite tho

say all this stuff when using rosa online now. With a lot of bad players gone waiting for ultimate, and its basically a 50/50 or a 3/4 chance of getting someone competent/good. These were mostly just inexperienced/beging players. That or you weren't playing during the late evening/early morning hours, which is where the good players mostly hang out on anyway (depending on time zones). Though I'll admit being able to kill with up tilt in grab is still dumb as a rosa user.

Unless you're one of her free matchups like Puff, you can get rid of Luma fairly easily, then you can outplay them and just go to town on her. She is also one of the lightest characters in the game, and can be totally abused in the air. Stop being crybabies, this character is fine.

I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't really have trouble fighting against most top tiers like Rosalina or Bayonetta, despite the fact that, as you can tell from my username, I mostly play characters that are considered low tier (such as Bowser) or even bottom tier (mainly Zelda). Personally I don't see what all the fuss is about em. Based on my experience, I don't think Rosa and Bayo are actually that good, in my opinion. Maybe the players I face just happen to be bad? Honestly, Cloud isn't very broken when you take into account his pretty bad horizontal recovery, and the fact that you actually can't tech if he gets hit during his up special

See, here's the issue with all that. Cloud's still nuts in spite of those. Those are pretty much his only two issue. The pros massively outweigh the cons, basically.

FireLong55 It seems that another issue is that Cloud is considered many character's worst, or near worst matchup. Gonna use my personal main, Duck Hunt, for an example here. Basically all of Cloud's tilts and ariels outrange everything the dog does. Even Duck Hunt's projectiles are neutralized by Blade Beam or any sweeping moves, which knock back the clay pigeon and send Trick Shot hurtling back. Alternatively, the slide kick d-tilt just flat goes under both. The matchup is possible, but requires much higher effort on my part compared to theirs. That seems the be the main issue people have; Cloud generally being "cheap and easy," with multipurpose tools that excel in most every situation with little effort. That said, actually getting them in a position to do DH's more flashy stuff is goddamned beautiful. The trio is confusing as hell to anyone that doesn't main them. Man, that's quite a wall of text I've made.
