Hmm idk, never been a fan of this matchup. It's just always felt like the leftovers of a rivalry that should have ended with Mario vs Sonic 2 (I pray we don't get a third one that would be incredibly unecessary, the legacy has just fallen off HARD). if I were to suggest any alternatives, Astaroth from Ghosts n' Goblins for Bowser and Lex Luthor vs Archie Eggman (we don't need to bring back game Eggman imo Wily was just the best for him) honestly just sound waaay more fresh and interesting. Good trailer though, IDK ftw (don't really care).

Cool. Rooting and betting Eggman. Bowser may take stats in base and low-end hax; but once these two break out the final boss-tier forms and reality warping stuff, well a) the various magic rocks Eggman should get are really hard to top by Bowser, not least of which because there's so many and they really can do just about anything to the fabric of reality, and b) Eggman has more Super Sonic-tier fighters that he can get out all at once than Bowser does (which is basically just himself in his strongest form), and lowballing the Sonic-verse says any one of them could take on peak Bowser. Koopa King's getting Jumpjutsu Kaisen'd.

THIS IS THE MOST GOATED MARIO VS SONIC MATCHUP HANDS DOWN!!! Eggman FTW. A lot of arguments I've seen for Bowser require non-standard equipment or one off powers that he stole which got taken back. Eggman's mechs should be relatively even in stats with Bowser while also having a more competent and deadly army than Bowser. And if I'm being honest Eggman has more justifiable arguments for getting his higher equipment than Bowser does.
