Good to hear great things about this bow. I’m almost dead set on switching over to bowtech from mathews mostly for the comfort setting and above all else the tuning features of this bow or the core ss

I have a phase 4 and got the core sr this yr, the core holds so much better on target.

I test shot this bow along side the hoyt alpha 33. The draw was almost identical . Both very smooth . The sr was in comfort. Bowtech for the win

I really liked the SS. Shot it next to the SR. The SS was just so smooth it was hard not to like. The riser on the SS and SR look very similar next to each other.

This was my main bow purchase for this year. I thought it was a wonderful bow.

Just happened to hop onto YT just as this was published. Unfortunately, this is the exact video I'm interested in watching to support my spending habits. Damn you, Lucas!

I wonder how the feel of this bow in comfort compared to the SS in performance. Speeds are so similar
@sheyanderson43716 ай бұрын
Most reviews for the draw on performance are done at 30", where it honestly is not a good draw at all and has a short valley. The draw is much better and nowhere near as harsh at around 28" and lower. Personally, unless you are limited in space like a stand or blind, the SR is the more versatile option. Equal to more speed as the SS but has slightly more stability from the longer ATA and the extra speed is there if you want it. I have the SR350 with a 28" draw and I much prefer that bow in performance. Once it goes over the hump, it sits like a rock and holds as well or better than any other 33" bow. It's a hunting setup, so I don't shoot it near as much as a hybrid or target setup, so I always leave it in performance and have no issues shooting 50-75 shots in a session. It's all personal preference but the performance mods on almost all Bowtechs will shoot much more comfortable at shorter draw lengths. The 33" hunting bows the last several years and iterations seemed to be the most versatile options they have.

@@sheyanderson4371 My draw length happens to be 30" and I can concur that the draw is pretty rough in performance mode in that spot. But comfort. mode...that is a different story - and still really solid speed.
@sheyanderson43716 ай бұрын
@@ArcheryTalkVideo Those performance mods are designed purely for added speed and Bowtech definitely doesn't have 30"+ draw shooters comfort in mind. It getting one of the faster speeds this year, even in comfort, is exactly why I would recommend it over the SS in many cases. A very versatile bow.

What speed you getting at 28@sheyanderson4371
@sheyanderson43714 ай бұрын
@@josepha-qz6il I have the SR350, but have shot the SR multiple times and they have a very similar draw, SR is less harsh. At 28", 73#, and standard let-off I get 273 with a 510g arrow. If you adjust the let off, you can get another 2-3fps. On the performance mod though, any fraction of give and it will let down.
