BOWTECH REVOLT VS HOYT RX4 ALPHA - SPEED AND ACCURACY - | HAXEN HUNT |

The Bowtech Revolt and Hoyt RX4 are both great shooting 2020 bows! They are very comfortable and shoot well! Surprisingly the speeds were significantly different! The hoyt ended up shooting quite a bit faster! So for you speed people youll want to for sure watch till I shoot them through the Chrono!

So the bowtech would be or is faster than the rx4 if it was the same poundage and in performance setting

I'm late to the game in the comments, but there's a significant difference in the brace height of these bows. 6 1/8" for the Hoyt vs 7 1/4" for the Bowtech. The shorter brace height would generate more speed because you have an additional 1 1/8" of energy generation from the Hoyt. It is important to mention these differences in a comparison.

Question Haxen?! The Revolt has an IBO of 335 and you shot it in comfort and not performance. The Hoyt rx4 has an IBO of 342. If you shot the RevoltX which has an IBO of 340 and shot it in performance which would add 7-10 fps wouldn’t it be a dead on comparison speed wise??

Todd Lymburner I think the 335 IBO is for performance, comfort is probably in the 325 range. I was actually surprised the speed was as close as it was, and the comfort of the draw cycle wasn’t a bigger factor. I’m wondering if this bow, and the last video is actually in performance by mistake. His first impression 3 months ago was a lot better of the Revolt. I think you bought both, what’s your impression of the RX4 and the Revolt?

Yeah so it was in comfort mode but it was at 70# and the one I shot in previous was at 60 so it felt a lot smoother! If you go watch the video I made of comfort vs performance you’ll see how much of a difference it makes and that might help with those questions!

I shot both of these and the only thing I thought the Hoyt has was weight and grip, the cycle on the bowtech seemed like butter and the Hoyt felt only slightly better than my bear species. I do like the geometry of the ultra better than anything but the bowtech held and shot best to me

Just a FYI if you go to a small town bow shop you can get the rx4 a lot cheaper ($1450). Shop around for the best deal. Great video

I wish. Knowing NYC, they would charge $1,450. But charge you all of the fees they never charge for setup to get the $1,800 lol

Angel Custodio lol. Good thing about that small time shop I’ve been buying from him for 24 years now. He just says you stuff came in and I do the work myself (he taught me). Even some of the costumers ask for me but I don’t work there lol

Which RX4 would you recommend? Ultra, Alpha, or Turbo?

Depends on your draw length, if you’re below 29” I’d do the alpha, if your above 29” id do the ultra

The RX4 alpha is really nice. It was the second option for me when I bought my VXR 28. Nice shooting bow but I didn’t like the hand shock and it’s louder than the VXR.

Interesting review, the fact that the draw cycle wasn’t much more of a factor is telling me that Hoyt has come a long way this year imo.

Yeah with the RX4 it wasn’t too much of a difference! The AXIUS alpha has a much tougher draw though

I know 99% is just feel, but when a bow is more dead in head at full draw, do you think the RX4 being light compared to the Revolt is a major factor why the Revolt was deader for you?

I new from first shot you picked the Hoyt. Stuck with the name game. They're dead even about. You're just flexing your money. I would've went the cheaper route by far. Not enough difference to justify the money gap. Your video today showed me Hoyt is stuck in the mud while Bowtech is coming up quick. You just made a Hoyt man a Bowtech man!
