After shooting them all today, I ended up ordering one of these Rx-4 Alphas, which I really did not want to do lol ($$$)But between it and the Axius Alpha, they both shot Identical, maybe a tiny bit less after shot vibe but neither one was really noticeable. the turbos were a no go for me, hard no, the draw was really similar to the sr6 I traded in for the RX. So trade in made the price a bit more palatable and made the choice to go carbon that much easier Excited to get it!

Looking at these speeds and the new PSE EVO NXT 31 it is pretty surprising. The NXT 31 is at a 329IBO and on your last video it launches a 458gr arrow at 273fps. This bow is listed at a 343IBO and shoots a 442gr arrow at the same 273fps (at your 28/70lb setting). The RX4 does shoot the same 421gr arrow at 284fps vs the 282fps out of the NXT 31 but seems to fall flat with the heavier weight arrows. Also the NXT has a larger brace at 6.5 vs the 6 1/8 of this RX4. Hoyt makes a solid product but I just don't think they are where they want to be in the design department.

@dogle92585 жыл бұрын
Mikey Woomer Jr I’m still newish to archery. But I would think it foolish to go with a 3 cam if you have a 28in draw. Don’t most strings stretch a bit? Least with the 2 cam when/if your strings did stretch you could go down on draw length still to get closer to your natural draw rather then being already at the minimum. Since you’ll never need a 30in draw anyway I would only get it if you can get the 2 cam setup.

@InsideOutPrecision5 жыл бұрын
@@JEHAB1 at that age the key keeping it simple. I'd get a Mini Genesis bow for now, they can both shoot for the next 3 years or so and they're under $200. You can add a sight and and use a release with it after they are ready for that, but to start just keep it simple and let them shoot it with fingers at like 5-10 yds. Sometimes it's hard for them to keep the arrow on the little flipper rest, so adding a whisker biscuit can make life easier. Way to start them young though! Good luck, man.

@InsideOutPrecision5 жыл бұрын
600 and 700 grain arrows are just pointless. Unless you are shooting a water buffalo or something they are overkill. I've blown through every elk/deer/bear I've hit with an arrow between 450 and 500 grains. Tou sacrifice so much trajectory with a 700 grain arrow that its hard to shoot through tight windows and animals are more likely to jump the string. Just my experience though.

@@InsideOutPrecision thank you for responding so quickly! I would live to try it... sadly NO ONE here in my area carries these bows for my draw length and weight either. Would you mind telling me what your student uses? I really like the way the bow seems to shoot when I watch her. I won't buy a bow I can't feel the draw and feel of first, I'm sure you wouldn't either. It's sad because obviously women do archery but noone caters to them in their shops. I may be able to pull 50lbs one day but not now. I've had shop owner try to "help" me pull a bow to try at 50lbs and there's no way to get the true feel of the draw that way.
