Looks like you got a bit of the no-steering out of the draft penalty in this one. Since 1.72 people with steering don't even need to steer to get better draft. You can pair steering controllers and never touch them and get better draft-seeking behavior. Beautiful finish anyway!

Yeah, great observation! I've been battling with my Play controllers, they often end up somehow miscalibrated by the end of a race and I start drifting to one side or the other. 😬 So I tend to leave them turned off. But I need to keep on that problem.
