Cheers. I like the occasional bit of customisation normally, but I am very keen to have a lot of pokalems for this unit to mark them out as having a lot of Marie-Louises for 1813.

Is it ever a problem to cover the line where the head or arm is attached? Do I need to use putty to fill it in or does the paint cover it up?

Sometimes it can be a problem - with the Perry British infantry set you can mix and match parts from the Victrix boxes (and vice versa) and the arms aren't always a perfect fit. The plastic cement melts the plastic parts you are sticking together and, generally, I find that a good dollop of glue conceals the joint. Once you've applied undercoat the joints are barely visible. If you take care trimming flash and the points where the bit was mounted on the sprue and dry fit before gluing you should be fine.

Solid advice from Malcolm here. If you get the front of the alternate head fitting well that is the main thing. Any gap at the back will likely be invisible to anyone else! You could get a product like Games Workshop Liquid Greenstuff or Vallejo Plastic Putty if the gap is particularly egregious.

quick question, I have a box of french (currently building prussians) from perry and was wondering if using flags from the sheet included is fine
@CullodenPaintingStudio3 жыл бұрын
The 1812-1815 Perry French come with flags for Waterloo. This 1815 pattern is different from 1812 and very different from 1804. If you're collecting for a battle other than Waterloo, you might want to look at third party flags from GMB Designs or Flags of War. If you're not fussed about that detail then fire on and use them!
