This is SO clear and well taught. Thank you! About to go make some round velvet pillows for my room.

Thank you so much! I used your tutorial to sew in a microbit placed round, firm, foam, to be used as a remote control in an interactive art piece! Never sewn before! And even though it did not turn out perfect, it was good enough!

Thanks so much! I searched for instructions on sewing a boxed round stool cover and couldn't find it. Your video got me there, and I learned how to use math for successful patterning! Best of all the music rocked! You made a perfect video.🤩

This is a great video. I was having a hard time finding a pillow cover for a round pillow. I knew I wanted one with a zipper closure so this one is perfect. Thanks for sharing this technique.

Thank you so much for this video! It’s a huge help! I’m starting a picnic business and wanted to create pillow covers for my floor cushions to be able to wash them out after every event but I couldn’t find anything anywhere. Such a lifesaver!

Just a follow up- I can’t tell you how pleased I am with the pillow I just finished making! Everything fit perfectly! I used the math exactly as you instructed and the band with zipper fit the top and bottom. Doing the notches helped align everything. I’m still in shock😮 that it worked out so well!! 🎉 I was a bit skeptical as I put the pieces together but voila! It looks pretty darn good for my first time! 😊. Thank you again for such good tutorials and calmly showing and explaining the how to! I’ll be making more I’m sure. Oh and I added a welt so I really challenged myself this time 😂. 😊😊

Just one question- I’m giving this as a gift. How do you finish the raw edges that you snipped? Zigzag? I don’t have a serger.

Hi, I just made the round cushion insert, very pleased it. Now, moving onto cutting the fabric and strip🤞I think it's gonna work out great. Many thanks.

You made it look so easy. Unfortunately my math is terrible! I'm going to have to wing it. This is for my dog and the pillow is going to be 48 inches, with a zipper. Will let you know how it went. Thanks...

A wonderful and easy-to-understand video. Thank You! Question: Would you make a video on how to sew a 16" round firm cushion form? I purchased a round pillow foam and didn't realize it takes a special sewing method...I am a beginner sewer. Also, I have never sewn a zipper but after watching your instructions, I will attempt the task. Thank you again.

Hi! So yes, I do plan to do some videos on foam cushions, but until then, you can use the method shown here! The only difference is that unlike the soft cushion in this video, foam has clean edges and a more structured form, so just use the thickness of the foam to determine the width of the boxing strip. Let's say you're using 2" thick foam. I'd still measure around the entire insert snugly, use 2" as the thickness of your finished boxing strip, and determine the size of the circles and circumference of the strip the exact same way as shown here. BUT, make sure to wrap the foam in dacron batting before stuffing it into the cover. You should have a perfect, snug fit!

Boy, your sewing machine is so quiet and smooth! What kind is it? Is it an industrial with a servo motor? Thank you for doing these videos! I am learning so much. And, this is the project I am working on now!
