At the 22:19-22:22 marks ..is that a variation of a serger stitch? And if so what kind of serger strich will give me 4 rows of stitches on the front? Your front has a double stitch...how do I make it 4 stitches and have a serger sttich on the back side?

Hi! That machine is a Coverstitch (configured as 2-needle, 3-thread). This configuration can be seen here at minute 16:14

@@markherring3513 that is not possible with a serger, which has up to 2 needles (both a 4-thread serger and a 5-thread serger has 2 needles each only).

😂!! Actually, the Coverstitch can be replaced with a multi-zig-zag stitch (available in most regular home sewing machines) when attaching the elastic. When sewing the hem, you might also go for this same stitch ( in my machine it is stitch Nº05. Here you can check it out: 12:41 😉

How do you trace and cut your particular size to make your fabric with that layout you have on the paper ( xs, s , m , l , xl )

Hi! I personally use some patternmaking paper below the printed pattern and transfer the size I need with a tracing wheel (a very common patternmaking tool). That way you can trace each size individually whenever you need to.

Hi!! The Coverstitch used in this video (Janome CoverPro 1000 CPX) is the only "home" coverstitch machine I've ever used (I've owned it for the past 10 years). Despite me recommending this machine, I'm quite sure there must be some updated versions from the same brand.

Hi!! I've used a 4-thread overlock stitch. Settings (tension, stitch length, etc) may vary depending on the machine and material used. The fabric used here is a synthetic 4-way stretch knit with spandex (usually named "Tricot").
