Blinding the observer made my day. I absolutely love it when people use medic's abilities since they are so tricky and normally not worth it.
@Coolernl14 жыл бұрын
Omg the floating enginering bay over the silo, that's just 100% pure skill.
@andthatsforthewin15 жыл бұрын
If you look at all the details in the replay... its not the build that's amazing, its the unbelievable execution by Boxer
@CholeraSC15 жыл бұрын
Yes, it can be. A Nuke will take out 500 hp OR 2/3 of a building's TOTAL health, whatever is greater. In this case, after the EMP the Nex has 750 hp, and the nuke will take out 2/3 * 1500 = 1000 hp. You can see the results of this in the game...
@Gerbilkit12 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that this was a fan game. Some fan got to play against Boxer for fun.
@dangerfield68554 жыл бұрын
Love how it's a game played somewhere in between winning as fast as possible and actually building valuable buildings and units and winning
@CholeraSC16 жыл бұрын
I do remember that game from the PP list, I'll see if I can find a workable replay / old executable to run it. Thanks for your comment!
@SiouxTube16 жыл бұрын
I've actually seen this before but I didn't know Boxer was the one who performed this beautiful ploy here with the nuke.
@CholeraSC16 жыл бұрын
What a bunch of tools saying this isn't a real game. I've updated the video description with links to the Pimpest Play listing and another site describing this public game. He's playing an amateur, but it's definitely Boxer.
@vitaminamulti Жыл бұрын
The two medics keep the one marine alive as well. Crazy unit mix. Every single unit has a critical purpose for the strategy and overlapping capabilities to ensure mission succeeds. SWAT team.

@kuzia1984 It is boxer, this exact game was shown on TV, it's boxer versus a battle.net player

Nice commentary, even if it's an old game. It's great to see this stuff again :) Thanks for doing this.
@zenartanis16 жыл бұрын
very entertaining man!! i have a special suggestion for a commentary. it is the pimpest play in which Boxer floats his CC at the very begining of the match. i believe it was at a final tournment. and he ends up losing, but the play is insane!!! i hope you like my suggestion bro! me and my friends appreciate a lot your commentaries!
@AlexTechie5 жыл бұрын
LMAO at using the engineering bay to cover up the nuclear silo. As if you're opponent is really going to be in the dark about what structure could possibly be to the right of your CC that you don't want them to know about.
@erikolson52847 жыл бұрын
Dude. Love it! Come back! Make more videos
@PseudoKnight15 жыл бұрын
I'm surprised this was a Pimpest Play considering the skill level of the other player. If it wasn't Boxer, it probably wouldn't have made the list. Still, it's somewhat entertaining.

@Z7ONY Boxer (or that Terran player) saw the Robotics and moved the science vessel close enough to detect any observers coming out. One would only assume that the enemy will way point the observer toward the area of the battle, where the ghost is most likely hiding, and not in the opposite direction.
@kittyjoker12 жыл бұрын
EMP tips off your nuke location. if the toss was any good he would have moved his probes out of the way, and/or dealt with the ghost better.
@DArtagnonW15 жыл бұрын
It's not quite the same, but the recent Boxer vs. NC Yellow might feature a nuke or two.

Thanks, but how would you determin something like that, and what would you think the average apm per minute be in an average player?
@SuperSources14 жыл бұрын
@Thomsedrengen Those are Probes, not Drones :P. I don't think noobs even think about running their workers, probably because of the pressure and panic of being nuked themselves. Or maybe the toss was concentrating on trying to kill "Boxers" 1 Drop-ship army.

hey, what is that app that lets you see apm during a replay? and where do you get replays from pro games? (i downloaded a couple from random places but they turned out to be total bs, with players like "nal_ra" having 80 apm and 30 idle probes at a time =p)

A few things here... it looks like this is a very old game - with today's strategies this wouldn't work, furthermore, the protoss player (while probably better than all of us commenting on this) is a relative novice compared to Boxer by the looks of this replay. Not demeaning Boxer at all, this was just a bad strategy perfectly played to make it almost good :P he just wanted to humiliate with nukes :)
@slyfoot15 жыл бұрын
In the same respect.. he says "Don't mind the scv, it's just an observer" so that answer your question.
@Mimerneos14 жыл бұрын
that was a good commentary in a way

It was impressive but it seemed more like Protoss was at fault since he didn't even try to scout with his observer.
@armoric14 жыл бұрын
@Skjoldvall And it was in 2002, where metagame was totally different and mechanics, level of skill, apm etc. had nothing to do with nowadays standards. Not to mention pimpest plays also recommend innovation and creativity.
