thanks so much for doing this one... i had read about the lockdown on the pp list and i tried to watch the replay(after hearing how epic it was) but it was the wrong version of course.... there could easilly have been three pimpest plays in this game though... the entire map is covered in missile turrets and he gets a nuke off??! unreal... anyway, thanks again. great commentary as usual.

boxer's abilities to switch up his army makeup so quickly was one of his hallmark strengths. He had no hesitation in sacrificing a bunch of units to free up the supply.

Yes, although that doesn't happen too often, because storms generally aren't planned long before they are used, since they target temporary clumps of units. That would probably work against tanks in siege mode, though.

I miss BoxeR so much. No one ever came close to being as creative as he is. There are many great bonjwas like Flash, Jeadong, Bisu but he got a special place in my heart. Emperor for the win!

I believe this game was won when boxer had a hold of most of the map with his line of turrets and tanks denying chun more expansions and giving Boxer a head jump on minerals. Very good game and the goliath/ghost/BC raid was 100% pure epicness

Boxer had too much money, when chun beat his BC fleet he should have pushed in before Boxer could rebuild it. The Lock Downs were epic, great replay. :D

God damn i love Boxer. The lockdown of all the BC's was really genious. And then also the nuke. This game is really Epic XD

You select all the ghosts, hit l, and click a bc to ld it, then shift click 1 ghost out of the group and have them all ld another, shift click another out, ld, etc. Each time you remove a ghost from the group it will keep its last assignment, whereas the others are reassigned to a new target, so the end effect is that each ghost targets a different bc. It's called "cloning." An even more effective way to do it is instead of lding 1 bc each time, queue an ld on 2 bcs in case the ghost lives.

It was Nada vs Savior on El Chupacabra, Savior traded some overlords to Chunsang for a fleet of battlecruisers, a Babe Ruth and a mint condition Boxer rookie card ;)

Boxxar had 5k minerals and 2k gas stored. He also had 184 food. That's, what, 5 siege tanks? I think that would have made a huge difference in that last battle against goliaths.

i think nuke and lock is very effective in psychology strat like this game; obviously the other guy has a lot of bc and could have just walked over boxer literally 10 mins ago.

Yeah great game a bit slow compared to recent games. I do remember another BC game in TvT with FBH I think. He countered the BCs with dropship goliath combo.

Good game, but a little drawn out. Honestly looked like one of our games. Boxer might have known he had more money and so he knew he could wait it out...it's a boring way to win but I do it sometimes. In 3 player FFA games it happens all the time because there isn't enough money to go around. I'm still not sure how that "shift thing" works out, i thought it just took one ghost out of the group so not sure...I think i might play today just to find out.
