Yep, u can tell if someone has talent by their shadow boxing. A novice can bang on the bags but it's uncomfortable for a beginner to imagine an opponent in front of them and throw shots.

That’s a nice technique, I prefer a slight twist from torso for power which allows me to keep my hands up closer to my face, eventually we develop our own styles, your feet pivots are nice, it depends on your opponent plus your quickness and reflexes.. look sharp my Mann

Hand drops are just as important as using your forearm to turn your opponent since pushing is not allowed you can keep your opponent off balance and out of rhythm great stuff

You don´t have to get hit hard, light technical sparring is hella fun man! If you´re not gonna compete you don´t really ever have to go so hard or long that you have a dull headache or bruises after a sesh. If you´re gonna compete ofc you gotta go hard once in a while to get used to the intensity and energy expenditure but if you just like learning and training and getting better there ain´t nothing wrong with some friendly sparring. And it might come in handy if you get unlucky one day and a dude rolls up on you with a haymaker on the street, bullshit happens sometimes.
