As a casual observer, KT should have been deducted more points. She was warned multiple times, and carried on and actually got worse with the use of her head after the deduction. The ref was weak and clearly didn’t want to be the reason KT lost her belt(s). At numerous time KT lead with the head and left it in, intentionally rubbing her hair into the wound of AS. A robbery? No, but AS won that fight. KT was dirty and doesn’t need to be, she clearly has the talent. If you want to use more than just your hands, then go to MMA.

@@Craigox001it’s also basic knowledge that when you’re trying to go inside to get in a clinch you keep your guard up. Katie kept dropping her guard and lunging her head forwards and upwards at the same time once she got inside. She did this over and over throughout the fight. I actually pointed it out to my wife and backed up the video to show my wife that Katie intentionally tried to headbutt Amanda before Amanda was even cut. Once you’re inside the guard you can’t lunge your head up and forward with your guard down, that’s the very definition of trying to headbutt somebody.

I agree 100% with the guy with baseball cap. Amanda has been robbed twice of clear victories. But what makes Amanda’s victory even more incredible is the fact that she’s a way smaller fighter having to come up 3 divisions to fight Taylor which is also a great fighter. In this last fight Serrano landed more total punches in 9 rounds. Serrano landed more power punches in 8 rounds.Serrano chased Katie around the whole fight. Serrano caused more visible damage, legally. On the other hand, Katie landed less total punched in 9 rounds, landed less power punches in 8 rounds. Blatantly headbutted Serranos face throughout the whole fight and the only visible damage Amanda endured was caused by those headbutts. Serrano won that fight as well as the first one. I dare to say that Amanda is the GOAT female fighter.

It was the first event out of the 3 or 4 that I've had on since I quit watching boxing around the time I graduated high school. I also loved the 2 min rounds. For us to say that women shouldn’t do 3 mins is ridiculous, leave it up to the athletes. Boxing needs to learn to modernise and move with the times. 2 mins gave great action and allowed the full-on boxing to go the full set of rounds.

I personally saw the fight fairly comfortable for Serrano. Katies excessive clinching was what caused the constant headbutting which truth be told is the only reason both fights have been close in my opinion. Even the biggest of Katie fans must concede she has been VERY fortunate. I more so blame the ref he should have been on at Katie straight away she really let herself down in my opinion it was dirty like you mentioned similiar to josh warrington, if anyone has ever boxed they will be aware its a tactic. As for jake paul I agree he didn’t hold back, he couldn’t even land to the body which by his narrative would have been a ‘humane’ way of getting the fight stopped. Good show though boys!

Anyone calling it a robbery needs to learn the definition of robbery. It was a very close fight that could have gone either way depending on how you saw the swing rounds. Great performance by both ladies. More volume by Serrano. Cleaner combos by Taylor. Coulda gone either way. It has to be said though that the commentators were terrible. Well Roy Jones Jr. Wasn't too bad, but Rosie Perez commentating on a Puerto Rican fighter is never going to be even slightly impartial. Having input from Serrano's corner between rounds and not from Taylor's was also a bad look. Mauro Ranallo continues to be awful, and that shit catchphrase he tries to shoehorn multiple times into every broadcast is annoying.

Dude, numbers don’t lie. The ratio shows who landed more. She landed so many clean haymakers on Katie. Most of the comment section is parted on bias of who they like Most, statistically speaking you cannot ignore the scorecard and have to evaluate the winner by that alone. It is foul to have favoritism in a sport that decides the winner by performance. We all watched that fight and it is still online till this day, analyzing it is not hard. Amanda was supposed to be declared the winner of that fight. It should be illegal otherwise.

I like the 2 minute rounds too. I believe that if it would have been 3s, it's very possible that they would have gassed sooner. But I also can count the number of boxing events that I've watched since I quit watching boxing in the mid to late 90s on one hand. Even some of those it was on the TV but I wasn't giving it my full attention. Even with the event Friday, I only watched 3 matches off the whole card. Turned it on for Taylor/Serrano but actually caught the beginning of Barrios/Ramos, which was definitely an interesting and entertaining fight.

Both fighters leaning in, Amanda rushing forward & Katie being slightly shorter meant it was always likely to happen. Katie has outboxed her twice now. The Referee was a disgrace as were the pro Amanda comms and production. RJJ was almost embarassed explaining why they were wrong. Katie lands the cleaner, more effective work and did it with beautiful combinations.

I've said for a while that the commentary on a broadcast can sway the audience. Sometimes it still happens in the UFC too. Rosie and Mauro were definitely there to praise Amanda. The Barrios/Ramos fight was pretty good IMO, not that I watched much boxing since the 90s. It was definitely a nice back and forth with both getting knocked down. Unfortunately Barrios didn't look like a -1500 favorite. I didn't place a bet on him tho. I did get Katie at +215 right before the start of the fight. Also had her by decision, Carrington by decision and Bahdi by KO/TKO in a parley, that was +488 should have taken the plus money for Bahdi by decision, it would have probably ended up in the +600 to +700 range for the 3 legger. Good thing I don't try and make a living from gambling, especially on boxing bc Vegas is outrageous with the odds for some boxers. IT'S VERY EASY TO BE A "SUNDAY MORNING QUARTERBACK..." If that cut hadn't occued NOBODY WOULD BE SAYING ANYTHING about it... So now people say she should be "disqualified"..? A dirty fighter..? NO WAY! It's a defense resource like others that are used in Boxing on the borderline of what it is allowed; for example: when Tyson Fury systematically hits, jumps on and holds his opponent leaning his weight on him... I thought amanda did enough this time to just get it but again close fight and the commentary was pretty bad and was making out like Serrano was dominating. When taylor would land counters they woudnt say anything but when Serrano landed in an exchange they'd be onit straight away. As for the main event like we knew what the story was gonna be there.. Tyson way to old to fight how he did and Paul wasnt gonna stand and fight with tyson even at 58 so he was just moved and jabbed to a points win. Only positive was we didnt see mike get badly hurt in there.

I've seen enough fights over 30 years to see the Fighter I believed to have won lose by a couple of rounds, but I'm NOT a judge, this fight was the first time I thought Taylor could have won but if it was a draw or loss it would not have been out of the question, I simply couldn't see who was the clear winner at the end, Serrano slowed down mid way and threw one 2's where Taylor threw huge combinations and that was eye catching, Taylor has always come forward with her head as many professional boxers do and was told to push Serrano back to keep her off, unlike Paul Tyson bout where you seen each fighter turn their heads when the other led with the head, Serrano did not turn her head, she kept it in a bad position and both girls had cuts on the same eye, I'm no Taylor fan, I actually hate her because she is highly overrated and does get the judges vote when she clearly loses, but this time she could have won, and its the hate on a particular Fighter which is pretty disgusting, watch Taylor in the press conference after the fight and see her face which is like pulp, I won't criticize such fighters who have been in such fights when its the judges and referees that need to be questioned and nobody seems to care about them.

Do i think these are intentional, no but again no disputing that. I think from team Serrano’s pov would they not have learned from the first fight? Amanda was more than willing to clinch also not just katie. Katie also works in the clinch where Serrano kept look at the ref to break up the clinches as soon as they appearded to get tied up, katie works effectively from those scenarios whereas i thought serrano wasnt looking to break the clinch and work herself, purely dependant on the ref breaking them up. I had the first fight a draw but genuinely thought she edged this one 6-4. A round either way or a draw, zero complaints. The robbery talk is excessive and not the case. Two great fights between two of the best women ever to lace them up!

KT won a close fight for me on friday night same scores as the judges,however, I feel that the commentary sways a lot of people. I watched it back just now with no coms and i had it 96-93 KT and that with the 8th being 9-9 as AS didnt do enough to win that round. Great fight but the headbutt nonsense needs to stop. Watch the replays they both go in with the head KT does it but so does AS. AS head movement is the reason why it opened up more even Roy Jones Jr made that comment!

CBM is basically the Joe Joyce of the cruiserweights. Big heart and will to win, decent (but not massive) puncher, and if you would kock him over the head with a baseball bat it would only encourage him to try even harder. I'm sure that I must just be a 'casual' albeit it one who watches every boxing event that I can from start to finish (say, between six and ten hours of boxing per week) but I agreed with Rosie Perez and plenty of others: Serrano won that fight. She won both of their fights imo, albeit narrowly. But it is what it is, and Serrano should just let it be. People can tie themselves up into knots disagreeing all they want, but I don't think that judges will ever allow Serrano to get the nod over Katie. Least of all if they would do it in Croke Park. So just let it be. It's the best for both fighters. Katie can say that she beat Serrano two times. Serrano can say (and be believed by many) that she was 'robbed' (or whatever you want to call it) two times. That's a better position to be in than to let it happen to you three times, so just let it be. I never took the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson thing seriously at all. For me it was just the clownesque bonus after the real boxing event was over. Sure, most will have watched to see that 'fight," but so what? If you put Zuckerberg vs Elon Musk on the same card as Fury vs Usyk II, the Musk 'fight' would get more viewers than Fury as well. Beyonce vs Rihanna would get more views than Taylor vs Serrano III. That's just the world we're living it.🙂

This fight was robbed away from Amanda as even Katie’s face and Demeanour showed she lost and was not confident in outcome, Katies corner knew she was loosing hence the comment fight like a dog as she was down, and to add the dirty boxing on top and deducted points, she should of never won, either draw at best if belts not going to Serrano, most the people in the world including boxing professionals thought Serrano Won this fight and showed great spirit even with head butt gash which is known in boxing that Katie does, she head butts a lot and is apart of her strategy to win by dazing opponents with head butt with a follow up punch., imagine you constantly getting head butted and head brushed, the human skull weights a lot just like a bowling ball, imagine gettin hit constantly with that, they don’t even allow head butts in UFC lol, it’s so Crazy, I like Katie as she can box and is resilient but just don’t think she got that one and she knows it. Sad to say as this was a big fight and now it’s like a fake win like a Fake Champ as the world knows it’s Serrano …..and Katie only started getting her hits a bit cleaner since that head butt Gash, only that head butt gash was saving her as she almost got knocked out early on and the only good punches she did after that was straight punches aiming for that head butt gash to win, I don’t think Katie is a real honourable champion she’s just someone that got voted the belts, but she didn’t show that much skill, did not control the ring , only skills she showed is straight punches trying to survive and not trying to win and it was aiming for the Gash and she had good clinching and holding and being on back foot and ducking techniques but Serrano showed and displayed head hits body blows , movement and controlling the ring with good footwork and staying calm after head butt gash. She displayed more of a champions worth and no dirty boxing.

Too many of Serranos punches did not make full contact. There was a lot of glove punching and light punches. The judges gave it to Katie because her combination punches were more accurate and harder. Serrano was busier but not as accurate. Kate took the earlier rounds as well to the points overall

It could have gone anyway and the fix was in Jake Paul had the ref in his pocket yes Katie was leading with her head but he didn't warn Katie once before he gave the point deduction and the look the ref gave Serrano told a storey that he's got her back and they still lost.

Taylor Vs Serrano 2 definitely wasn't a robbery. It was a close fight that could have gone either way. I had it exactly the same as the judges, 95-94 to Taylor. Serrano fought exactly how she did in the first fight, Taylor made some adaptations and boxed better. Serrano and her team need to stop blaming the judges and ref (who was actually unfair on Katie) and making excuses, and instead look to actually change her game plan for the 3rd fight or she'll just lose again.
