Dave Boy Green was even more hopeless than Bruno. You must be young. Your like the Kray twins supporters. All young. Anybody who was alive in the 60s knows the Krays were vicious barstewards. Not saintly at all.

@@wanderer1955 Green was value for money and a good fighter, ranked in the top 5, beat some top fighters (Stracey Price Piedvache Guillotti), went head to head with Palomino in the runner up to Ring Magszine's 1977 fight of the year and sold out stadiums when he fought. You're right about the Krays though

grew up in the area . Wonderful pubs . Been to some of Charlies nights for Michael Watson , many old boxing greats there and Cass Pennant on the door , pretty safe.

What a great night-wish I'd been there.I met Charlie Magri twice years ago though I doubt he'd remember.I'm a big fan of Dave 'Boy' Green as well and have DVD boxsets of both.

Joe Egan is a true gentleman, such a nice fella. By the way, I saw Charlie Magri in my teenage years, back in the mid-1980s when I was riding my BMX through Barking Park. I didn't say anything, as he was enjoying the moment with possibly one of his kids on a swing, but it was a pleasure to see him in real life. He is a true boxing legend, who was loved by so many people in his boxing years. Watching him and all the other fighters back in the day was something else, so enjoyable!
