The money has always been there for the current crop of promoters to make these fights happen, they just can’t bare the thought of having to give ground to a rival company in order to make them happen, it’s gotten to the point where it’s become way more important for them to be perceived as the top dog by the public without realising that the public have no interest in their power struggle and would be way more invested in them if they just did their jobs properly.

Great interview, well I figure that from what Teddy has shared here the longer it goes on the stronger Usyk becomes, because to score on the outside over many rounds takes a lot of stamina. for the bigger man. It is possible to retain them all as there is an agreement between the sanctioning bodies as to what order the mandatory defences are to take place and the time limit allowed for making each defence. So if a fighter is prepared to make all his mandatory defences as they fall due, he can hold onto all the belts. However, in the case of Fury v Usyk, there is a rematch clause and if the rematch goes ahead, the champion will not to be able to fulfil his WBA mandatory defence, so will be stripped of that belt.

Perfect time to get rid of all the belt/organisations. Whoever wins relinquishes them all. Can’t believe they like paying 100’s of 1000’s to each organisation to sanction every fight. Then we just follow the lineage from the champ onwards. It’s bad enough having 6 organisations but now you’ve got silver, interim and God knows what else. All good comments of Teddy other than "nobody has beaten Fury yet" he forgot the novice Ngannou who gave him a hiding and dropped him as well and made him look like he just got out of a car crash, and the first fight Wilder KO'd Fury, hadn't it been for the referee.

Teddy Atlas should take note that given its past history the IBF will probably strip the winner of Fury-Usyk the first fight for not defending against their number one contender Filip Hrgovic and Hrgovic will fight Anthony Joshua for the vacant IBF title ! For the best interest of boxing their should be an undisputed heavyweight champion for as long as possible but the sanctioning bodies only care about making a profit on sanctioning fees and their own interests !

Why I think people liked older era boxing, 80s back, is because we got decisive outcomes without bad judges. Why? Because fights ended in KOs. Why so? Because they went 15 rounds. Most KOs happend after modern fights now end, after round 12. Example is Leonard vs hearns. The only prob with that is that it was killing the fighters. Those last 3 round took years off life. See Ali vs Frazier 3. So whats better, a decisive winner or nobody on life support. Just imagine Ali still talking noise as a commentator.
