I really love the relationship between the Goblin and the Angel. The Angel is making prophecys about the end of times, and the Goblin just goes, "Yeah yeah, good, broken record. when can I have that which is mine?" 😂

Honestly i kinda like the end of 2 as a permanent end. They basicly go "U dont want us so we just go fuck of and try to live a happy life for once" and i like that there is no third part with the obvious return of the heroes in a time of great crisis.

The 3 Hellboy with the new actor was really bad. The actor was OK but the rest of the movie was cheap splatter bullshit. i loved hellboy 1 and 2 for the mixture dark fantasy, mystic creatures, humor and a lot of style. Every creature looked great and has something special and unseen before. The new one was only filmed to show a maxiumum amout of blood and bodyparts. Nothing of the beauty of older one.

Doug Jones is just fantastic in any role he takes on - he played Abe Sapian in both Hellboy films that starred Ron Perlman. And the strange characters in the excellent 'Pans Labyrinth', most assuredly a classic in its own right.

I'm bummed that they never made a 3rd one. I've had the fortune of meeting both Doug Jones and Ron Perlman. Perlman didn't say much, but Doug was so much fun. Been a fan of his for decades, and when my family and I met him, he was such a delight.

Doug Jones has played THREE separate, distinct creatures in this movie alone. Just goes to show his talent for playing inhuman creatures, costumes, tons of makeup & all. Hell, in Hellboy II, he's even had his first(& only) actual combat scene as Abe(against Mr. Wink, if I remember correctly, swimming away from Sammael(s) in first movie, that doesn't count). The guy is, if I'm not mistaken, actually a proffessional contortionist, right? That would explain a lot.

Not really. Think more than him as a villian. Because he is there, a being of power, even if he doesn;t turn evil, he just might have to destroy the world to prevent a greater evil. But this might not be bad, after the destruction, maybe a era of rivaled peace, enlightenment and advancement follows. That is the problem with prophecies, people usually see the evil, not what maybe good about it.

@@NeoPhoenix-99 That... I didn't enjoy this movie when I watched it. Seeing this angel was one of the highlights, but there were a lot of little annoyances for me. Most of them could be filed under the headings "the message of not being hostile to people who are different is handled even worse than in X-Men" and "All the characters act like idiots." This scene actually has examples of both. The bashing of regular humans who are fearful of and hateful of Hellboy is treated as unreasonable, but here we learn that he actually still is on track for destroying the world. And the prince, who was not planning to heal Hellboy once he got the MacGuffin and instead just wants to kill them with the robots, is being an idiot for holding the hostage exchange in a place where the heroes have to walk past both the creator of the robots and a being that can heal Hellboy and get him ready for the fight. The guy can seemingly teleport across the world, and yet he picks the one spot on earth that gives his enemies all the help they need and he didn't want them to have.

That seems to be something that goes along with each other. I don't think that one of the binary gender forms should be the gramatical standard. In my native language - good old grumpy German - we have the possibilty to use a gender neutral form and even an all gender including form. It is both not common yet (because conservatives think it's some kind of communist mind trick bullshit), but I use them most of the time.

Anyone find it odd that the legacy of it is he says he will bring about the destruction. Of earth, now not not tomorow but if thats true how does he bargain for that soul if she did let him die that means the fate can be unwritten if he actually dies. But if he cant bargain it doesnt tha lt mean death doesnt have to do anything it will happen anyway? She should have let him die because he wasnt going yo anyway based on prophecy it would have been fate and she wouldnt have to bargain anything

Wow maybe the Angel of Death here is the reference of one of the Characters of Jujutsu Kaisen. The one summoned by Megumi and defeated by Sukuna. He was way more cool in manga comparing to the anime.
