And if anybody wants to know how to teach a kid how to bowl because I'm figuring these days people probably just don't know. Get them a softball and teach them how to throw a softball do that for a day or two give him a couple days off then take them bullying you'll get nothing but strikes

I love that the entire crowd cheers for him getting one pin. I know it’s a movie and that most likely most people would’ve laughed at him because people suck, but it’s definitely a great feel good moment in the movie

This is a hilarious scene that teaches an important life lesson to parents and kids. Parents: stop being lawnmowers in your kid's life removing every obstacle. Go through challenges with them; be there for them. Kids: if it's easy, the victory is never as sweet. Rejoice in the small accomplishments. Have patience and work for the mastery in your goals. Going from nothing to everything, out the gate, usually doesn't produce the virtuous qualities of perseverance, fortitude, and determination.

Thank you. It's so strange. This is exactly what I've been having to lecture my brother in law about. He truly believes that the way to raise children is to give them whatever they want and make sure that life is easy for them. I say to him, "What happens when you're gone and there's no one to help them? No one to do it for them? They'll be completely lost. They will have no skills, no idea what to do, and no idea about discipline or responsibility. It's your job as a father to teach them the right path and let them do some things all on their own. Give them pointers, encouragement, and praise, but let THEM do it. It builds confidence and character."

There’s a difference here. The kid has to have an opportunity to learn the technique to be able to keep the ball out of the gutters. Having the gutters down doesn’t help you learn that. Why not have fun with the rails up while learning, understanding that hitting the rail even once means that he doesn’t have it yet?

You’re right. We need to use the rails to understand how to play bowling. But Dylan didn’t use it and got every perfect zero until he hit one bowling pin because he thought he could do it without the rails, but he couldn’t understand the bowling game. One day, he will be good at playing bowling once he uses the rails to make him understand the game. I wish him luck. 🤞🤞🤞
