I am so grateful to be with her and looking forward to the future. But man, even though right now I don’t have a child, if someone did that to my child. There is literally nothing that’s out of bounds for the person who did that. I would do anything. And that’s genuinely a scary person to leave alive. Also I do love how at 4:05, the British officer that carried out his orders knew how horrific what he did is, a boat load of suumariale executions. was probably ashamed and was sad that these children witnessed it. He’s not proud at all, he’s ashamed.

Because 90% of the UK forces in the US during the war of independence were US born and were responsible for the vast majority of the attrocities (not to say the British born didn't commit their fair share, everyone did). The actual UK military basically didn't take part, they were busy in Europe with the French and Dutch. Be glad of it, had the UK sent an actual army it would have been a 1 sided affair as they could absorb more casulties in 1 battle than occured in the entire war and still be an effective fighting force.

When people ask if the 2nd amendment is outdated or needs more regulation…this is why it’s by far the most important amendment. People are naive and think we live in a world where governments won’t act like this anymore.

Maynmar is the most modern example. The military literally overthrew the democratic government, and when the people went to the streets to protest, the soldiers were ordered to shoot them. Many were killed, but the backlash has been insane. The rebel groups, which were very fringe and had little support, gained vastly in manpower and influence. As of to date, they’ve taken over somewhere between a quarter to a third of the country.

We don't need the 2nd amendment anymore since we have pronouns in bios and rainbow flags on lawns.

It's worse than that. It's not that they think their government won't act like this, it's that they think, if the time comes, their government will protect them.

This scene encapsulates exactly what Benjamin predicted would happen when he initially publicly refused to fight the war with circumstances being what they were.

For a foolish rant, one of the greatest cinematic talents, in terms of acting and directing was cancelled. I would take Mel any day over Roman Polanski or Woody Allen
