Imagine if they did keep making Tintin adaptations with improvements in animation and this same creative use of it/set pieces. So many cool scenes we could have seen: - The mummy nightmare and Incan civilization from "Seven Crystal Balls" and "Prisoners of the Sun" - Zero G physics, space travel and lunar landscapes in "Explorers on the Moon" - The Himalayas in "Tintin in Tibet"

We did get a reference of “Tintin on the Moon” with Haddock and Snowy doing a similar scene during the seaplane flight in the movie.

You do realize what you have mention here are what make a Good and Fun film to watch, Yes? Current Hollywood can't allow that. Or else how are they going to appeal to wider "Modern audience" by sticking to the actual source material? And especially "Tintin in Tibet", Why would they dare to invest in a movie they certainly can't milk from CCP?

True Tintin fans know that Tintin lets the bird go the instant Haddocks life is under threat. His intentions and loyalties in the comics were always very clear - the indecision here makes him look erratic and over zealous. In the comics he was measured and consistent. Although, to be fair to this version of Tintin I would have hung on to the bird instead of saving this version of Haddock. Adaption in this film was a complete disaster.

Yo they were riding an Indian motorcycle (the American motorcycle company mind you). Indians primarily had the shifter on the right side, unlike Harley Davidsons that had them on the left side, though some were built like Indians such as the Harley UMG which is a 74ci flathead made specifically for the NYPD (funny enough they didn’t get the contract because they used the 74” rather than the 80” version making it essentially an Indian) and some custom motorcycles where the customer specifically asked for the shifter to be on the other side. Its also a bit odd that he never shifted at all (or at least from what I could tell). It’s a very small detail that you probably wouldn’t notice if you didn’t know to look for it.
@vksasdgaming94724 ай бұрын
It might have variable transmission which does not need shifting.
@uncleyoda18344 ай бұрын
@@vksasdgaming9472 Indians didn’t have those at the time from what I remember. This bike is most likely a 1930s to 1940s era Indian (maybe a chief) which primarily had Manual tank shift system.
@vksasdgaming94724 ай бұрын
@@uncleyoda1834 Variable transmission would have explained why he never shifts. Time period is quite impossible to say, but my guess is after WW2. Shoulder-fired rocket and obvious Jeep are big tells.
@uncleyoda18344 ай бұрын
@@vksasdgaming9472 this is an entirely impractical but plausible explanation but they could have shaved 1st and 2nd gear to leave 3rd (a 1:1 gear ratio) and reverse. Then they would only need to shift at most once and could just dump the clutch like they’re drag racing. I saw something like this on les myer’s panhead drag bike if I remember correctly. It’s on wheels through time’s KZbin channel. Pretty cool bike imo.
@vksasdgaming94724 ай бұрын
@@uncleyoda1834 No doubt, but as it is drag racing bike such unorthodox solutions can be understood. I don't think motorcycles have reverse gear as they are practically impossible to control going backwards. Most likely explanation: nobody bothered animate gear shifts in already difficult scene. Especially when such maneuver would also have effect on sound design as well.
