And now for something completely different! Every Boxing day (Dec 26th) in Melbourne something glorious unfolds...! Boxwars celebrates the art of destruction with a themed cardboard battle royale.
The fall of the Roman empire was accurately, historically, scientifically reenacted.
Something a bit different from our usual stuff; and probably not the last you will see of the other crazy non-Nerf events we attend!

julian They do the big event once a year on boxing day (26th of December) here in Melbourne and they also do a couple of music festivals throughout the year in various places.

BulkierSphinx12 The entire build was done on the day in the set; but I brought along a few pieces of cardboard to use; specifically the long thick tubes used for fabric rolls to use for my spear and shield. They provided the rest! -R

How did u make the spear

Its was pretty easy. The main body is a cardboard tube from a fabric store; and the point was just a cone made from a piece of cardboard rolled from a pizza slice shape. Hot glue to connect everything -R

That was a bit more tricky. I cut out 3 curved triangle(?) pieces (Imagine taking a pizza slice, the cutting the main section of pizza off as a triangle leaving the curved crust edge and a straight bit) and shaped the cardboard sheet over the curved edge, then gluing 2 more sheets of cardboard onto that. I then used some thick walled bit narrow diameter tube for the handles between two of the ribs -R
