The way the media treated George at this time period is so annoying. They kept saying how "irrelevant" he was yet they kept talking about him and interviewing him. Not to mention this wasn't even long after he had a number 1 song in the UK? To me it just seems like they were bitter about his drug problems and desperately wanted him to disappear. But like he said, he had loyal fans and they couldn't stop that no matter how hard they tried to insult his career because he didn't fit their mould 🤷🏻

people were also really disgusted with his image and saying he was “politically backward” which wasnt true. all he wanted was equality for others. they always pressured him with questions about his sexuality but when he finally came out saying he was gay the press was over it. like they didnt have anything to make the interview interesting. i feel bad for how he was treated when he was young.
