I was in Boy Scout but I quit because of poor leadership. We went cold weather camping in march 2023 and it was -15 outside. The sea scout ship and venturing crew who were going with us dropped and my leaders said, “A little cold won’t hurt. If they’re cold we’ll blame the parents for preparing them for it being 10 degrees.” We complained so much our scout master was forced to let us leave because we threatened to sue.

As a Canadian scout it’s amazing to see all the differences between Canadian and American scouts. For example our cub uniforms are grey as opposed to blue and our scouts uniforms are green as opposed to beige and we don’t have a sash.

I've been to a Boy Scout week-long camp 2 times, and here is a short story for both of them. 1. Camp Cherry Valley: This was probably my favorite camp. It was on an island so we had to take a boat. It was like school but better. You take classes outdoors, eat lunch, and have some rec time too. My favorite part was the opening/closing campfires where we would do skits and stories. Had some great memories to recall there. 2. Camp Big Horn: This was the worst camp I've been to. I caught a cold on the first day and got rid of it after we were done. One thing that they did there was an "Ice Berg Challenge" (kinda forgot the name). It was where you would get up early, like 5 or 6 am, and jump in a frickin pool that was probably as cold as when the Titanic sank, and because of this, another scout from my troop also caught a cold like me. Also, the strangest thing happened when I got up one night and couldn't go back to sleep because of my cold, so I went outside to breathe and two things happened, one, I felt like I was in that one Fnaf story "Bunny Call" and was constantly being watched, and two, this one song kept on playing that was kind of catchy coming from one of the tents where I decided it was not my jurisdiction to find out. TL:DR: Boy Scouts Camp tier list: CCV: S tier CBH: F tier Also, I couldn't have done boy scouts if it wan't for my Mom, so thanks to her and all moms out there.

I just finished Boy Scouts and got my Eagle. I definitely think anyone who wants to Boy Scouts should. Anyone who’s almost done, I hope you make it. Anyone who wants to quit, keep going. I used to dread weekend camping trips wishing I didn’t have to go, but after a while you’ll just say to yourself “that’s stupid that I wanted to stay home”. I think Boy Scouts taught me a lot of life skills like how to start a fire, first aid, and just proper preparedness. You also get alot of fun memories out of it, like this one time we were camping out and some of older kids were breaking their hammock so by the time it was lights out, there was 5-6 guys piled into one tent. I genuinely believe scouts is a good opportunity for anyone young or needing of guidance. Plus, it looks good on a resume. Edit: also, yeah Scout camps are pretty lawless considering the amount of times I’ve cut myself whittling and starting a fire with 0 adult supervision.

not all people like scouts, i personally find it really fun, my older brother actually just eagled out and now all the pressure is on me to become an eagle scout as well, still it's a great program that I highly encourage people to try. you don't necessarily have to become an eagle scout to have fun, it's all about the friends you make and the things you experience. love your videos keep up the good work

I'm currently a boy scout, can confirm all of this is true, although the hierarchy is a bit more complex than what's shown, on top of the 4 levels there's also 7 ranks: Scout, Tenderfoot, 2nd class, 1st class, star, life, and eagle. In my troop whenever food is handed out at court of honors or campouts, they will always say "seniority applies" which basically means higher ranked scouts get to go first. And the part about guns is true too, I was 11 years old when I went to summer camp and they taught me how to shoot a rifle (for those who're curious: .22lr bolt action w/ iron sights).
