How Hoseok injects spontaneity and freshness into a routine that he has performed over a multitude of occasions is incredible. In every performance, he adds little moments of improvisation (here, blowing a kiss to the audience, delaying a pirouette by a half a beat to make the turn faster, shaking his finger at Yoongi, making eye contact with Jimin in the line before they flip directions) that enliven the performance. None of these bits are meant to steal focus or call attention to himself, but if you find yourself drawn to look at him by the purity and sensuality of his line and movement, you are rewarded because there is not a moment when he is not fully engaged with what he’s doing on stage. I’m reluctant to say this but when you watch J-Hope dancing compared to the other 6 he is on another level. He was born for the stage. He has charisma and a stage aura that draws you to him with the way he looks on his face and his smile or smirk when he is dancing that is so sexy. Jimin and Jungkook are great dancers too but they don’t have that aura like Hobi

I'm new to Army, and I noticed this about J-Hope early on. At first, I would just watch Jimin and JK by default, usually because they're front and center. But when I happen to see J-Hope, I was like, "WAIT, who is *this* guy??" Even with an exceptional dancer like Jimin (respect), I could still spot how J-Hope was on a different level. What's most upsetting is the disproportionate amount of praise (for his dance skills) he receives in comparison to the other members. He gets about half of what Jimin and Jungkook typically get. But again, he's usually off to the side when he doesn't have any lines and, unfortunately, gets missed by the general audience. It seems only dancers, or individuals who have studied dance, seem to notice him.
