My humblest opinion and only because you asked: I recommend no more heat on your hair for at least a year, maybe two (no hair dryers, straighteners, or curlers)! Use heat free hair styles for now to add some natural waves (braids or twists) to camouflage the uneven edges when wearing it down :) Introduce a weekly scalp treatment along with a scalp massage to encourage growth. I think it's great you took out the extensions so that your hair and scalp has a chance to breathe and reset :) And I thought it looked cute down and wavy :) Cheers!

Girl same thing happened to me for having extensions for years. Because I too couldn’t stop. My hair looked the same way. I had them cut it at decent length right below my ears. I used Bellami hair clip extension from that moment forward. My hair no longer was behaving and breaking. It kept growing and I got it trimmed from time to time. Clip ins were the best switch for me: my natural hair now recovered. But I still can have my length. Yeah sucks having to do it daily but my hair has no gotten to a point only use them for volume. Best thing I ever did

Agree! I have real human hair clip in extensions as well. It might take a bit to understand just where to clip them in, but there are a ton of KZbin video's on that! Once you get used to it clipping them in goes quickly.

courtney hawkins the tape in ones do use a type of glue basically sandwiched with the real hair. It’s just bad. The clip in ones are just best like the girl above you said. Wayyyy less damage

I had beautiful long hair and my mom got tired of combing out the tangles and took me to the hair salon. I wound up with a Dorothy Hamill haircut. I was scarred for life. Please don’t try and put any more extensions back in your hair. Look at all the damage they’ve done. Just put castor oil in your hair every few days and try to at least get your natural hair a chance to get strong and healthy again. Also keep your hair colour darker as well to keep it healthy. I had a similar dilemma, with my beloved stylist unable to keep up the most perfect shaggy pixie I've ever had (....and the dye jobs to hide the silver hairs that are starting to pop up...) I was faced with a decision: let it continue to grow out and look raggedy AF....or fix it myself. Let's just say, clippers were used and now my 7 year old nephew and I have the same haircut lol but I'm kinda loving it! So I say go for the cut! P.S. SOOOOOO glad your back Kandee! I vote to cut it. You are gorgeous any way you have your hair. If someone is only subscribed to you because of your hair, they aren’t a true fan. Everyone knows a journey from unhealthy/damaged hair to healthy hair is one of the more rewarding journeys ever. I’ve been on mine for 12 months and counting:) we’re all in this together. I don’t necessarily think wigs are necessary to give your hair a break. I’d say, use your cosmo skills and give yourself a good healthy haircut. Then use coconut oil once a week. It’s helped me tremendously! Love you and so glad you’re back on KZbin more❤️

Hi Kandee! I’m a hairdresser in the U.K.! My advice would be to chop, chop, chop! A chin length bob would look stunning on you and if you can lay off the bleach/heat/extensions for a while your own hair would recover really nicely. Even using that wig you start off wearing to give you hair a break would be good, it looked really nice. You have beautiful elfin features that can really carry a short style too. 😘😘 x

I have been a big fan for a few years- My hair right now is the exact same- it all started breaking a few months ago from all the dyeing-its all different lengths (even after getting it cut) I have still to find a way to wear totally down that looks good- I saw some braid tools on pinterst- love braids but can't seem to braid my own (sans tools)- love them- so simple- like $8 on Amazon- gets my hair out of my face and hides the crazy hair- and no heat to damage my hair
