I think using it sparsely to give an accent to this piece is what makes the effect 🤔

Awesome Gundam diorama sir!! I love the LEDs and smoke trails, they really help to sell the action going on. I was kind of surprised when you choose not to paint the figures, but decided to just detail them instead. The end result was very impressive and I was amazed at how much believability you achieved with just a wash and some light weathering. Simply masterful job!

Excellent work; especially the way you finished the models without painting any major parts! Those Bandai Gundam and Star Wars kits are marvels of engineering. It's remarkable how they're able to produce parts of different colors on a single parts tree. (I'm still amazed at the Darth Vader TIE Fighter with the solar panels being a single piece molded in TWO colors.) As a sidebar, when I was in Junior High School in the early 1970's, Bandai was famous for their detailed 1/48 scale World War 2 tank kits, complete with engines and interiors. I wish they'd bring some of those back . . . .

Beautiful scene, the resin on the base of the saber was perfect. The diorama Boylei found on Pinterest was very well-executed, but his own 'rendition' is stunning. The nerd in me noted of the finished work: Ray-san must be very confident on this day, for he has positioned his shield to absorb the incoming explosive projectile, rather than using a shallow angle to deflect the round.

When I got my first HG Gunpla and built it, I felt like something was missing; I thought I need a "better" detailed gunpla like RG or something to make it looks cool, but watching this video made me realizes that it's not what kind of grade my gunpla is, but turns out it's how creative I could be to make the product looks cool. This is amazing. I should finish my other HG gunpla and probably buy some led filaments and some paint. Thank you for this, you're awesome. subbed.

Was drawn to how you said you're not a big proponent of following instructions, but because you wanted to stay accurate to the material, you decided to follow the instructions for this project. I'd love to see what you can make using a Gunpla kit but going wild with your own imagination instead of relying on how it's supposed to be built!

Great battle It is always great seeing a nonspecific artist nailing the look of feel of something better then the hardcore ones.
@kj_m142 жыл бұрын
The neon filaments really take the project to the next level. Even small additions of weathering to the Gundam improve the presentation so much. And now that you've started tapping into the Gundam model-building, I hope to see you possibly look at Transformers figures as well and see how creative you can get with that. With Transformers, there's so many different versions of every character (G1, Cybertron, Animated, etc) that the possibilities are endless. Like different versions of Optimus Prime fighting different versions of Megatron in a massive battle or something.

I love it. The only criticism I have is that I wish you'd lit up the monoeye on the MS-06S and the eyes on the RX-78-2; I think it would've been a great extra detail that would've drawn the eye to three separate points, between the weapons, thrusters, and eyes, and lit up the fronts of the suits a bit better so they weren't silhouetted quite as much. But all that said, amazing work!
