For earth, wind and fire the hyper pop part was initially something that was put for fun by taesan when he was arranging a song from woonhak and the producers liked the idea. Btw there are three members that participate as songwriters and composers since their debut: jaehyun, taesan and woonhak. Until now we have seen more of taesan’s influence on their music. Literally, some songs are from taesan’s pre debut vault. He was one of the first trainees of koz. The other one that was producing and writing his music pre debut until he was scouted directly by KOZ without any training period in the company is jaehyun who is mainly a rapper in the group with some vocal moments that really likes hip hop and reggae but is very diverse in tastes based on leaks that were circulating of his songs..the guy was singing in almost all those leaks including a ballad even most of his covers are of him singing not rapping. It’s kind of an inside joke by now 😂 we haven’t seen all his rap skills Next comeback I think they will explore more the rnb and hip hop side of them.

Funny thing is that fans know he took rap seriously cause he revealed in a fansign one of the labels that wanted to sign him apart from koz after he left yg was a label, which name I don’t remember, known to sign hip hop artists but he decided to sign with Koz. Apparently, there were multiple offers to him when he left yg. And for some reason koz just knew of him and contacted him to try and give an audition. At that time, the group needed a rapper cause the members they had that could rap were more vocalists than rappers. Ironic thing is that jaehyun began as a vocalist at yg and ended up rapping cause he liked hip hop, rebelling against his teachers that said to him that he was more fit to be vocalist

@@3344k yes, but someone who is a new fan and google bnd won't know these informations, so even if they don't have positions and they said that themselves, sites should still update that info. also their menagment should work on them as an all rounders cuz if u are constantly giving Sungho vocal parts I can't notice his rapping skills. I never said that they are not all rounders, its just that if u are new u wont be able to know about them not having positions cuz its evident that some "roles" are imposed

Before the chorus when they sing "you ain't just a girlfriend" and then sing you are my earth, wind, and fire, it basically means that the woman they're referring to isn't just a girlfriend but instead she's everything to them therefore th lyric "you are my earth, wind, and fire" means that she means everything to them. They’re albums are also are whole love story it’s amazing! (Who, how, why) so if you ever get the chance definitely listen to the other songs! How is in the middle in terms of story line but it came out the most recently (W-HOW-HY how is in the middle of who and why put together) Their debut album was actually just 3 titles, but I like you, one and only and serenade which all have mvs and no bsides lol Also one more things they have 3 rappers! But I do feel like Zico made them have a not rap type concept so they don’t get to show off too much… but they do have an unreleased rap song (sunglasses with 2 rappers woonhak & jaehyun) and a cover (shut down with 2 rappers taesan & jaehyun) they do have a bside with raps but they don’t show off too much lol (it’s called our)
