Good to see more wrestling. Competitive wrestling is good. Recently I refereed a "Holiday Wrestling Tournament." Big event. Several girls wrestled boys. All were eliminated in the first round. All the matches were wipe-outs!

Most of these guys couldn't wrestle their way out of a wet paper bag. My sophomore year a teammate of mine that wrestled 112lbs had to wrestle a girl in a tournament. Our guy wasn't very good. Maybe .500 at best. Our coach told him either pinned the girl in the first period or he was to run the bleachers for an hour. He went out and tossed the girl in a headlock and the match was over in about 15 seconds.

I think the love of the sport is forgotten. Sure, you CAN "beat them bad"---you really NEED to prove that? Why not allow the girl to have fun in the sport she loves? Be a BROTHER, sure you can "beat her", hell everyone knows that. Are you so threatened you must "pound her", injure her?
