When I played football growing up if you needed to wrap something like a knee, elbow or ankle or wore a brace you better do both sides and be symmetrical. I don't really think the "meat hook" should be considered the dark side...whenever you are trying to circle around an opponent to the top position of control then you need to use one arm to control your opponent's head and the other to either control their arm or reach to their flank/haunch and pull yourself around while circling. You can also hook above the ankle. This is part of the sport. Edit: okay, further on in the video it does seem like those meat hooks are looking more like meat skewers...they're digging deep

Never forget as a 12 year old boy probably 4 years into wrestling at this point i entered a high lvl tourny my first opponent was a female that was beating everyone in her weight class. As our match progressed i could sense how much stronger i was than she.
